Lanre and Ify are roommates and students of the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu state. While Lanre is a beautiful light skin girl from the city of Ibadan, Ify whose full name is Ifeoma is dark skinned from the coal city, Enugu and both are undergraduates studying Mass communication and are in their final year. 
Unlike Ify, Lanre is the wild type who has her eyes for extremely flashy things, so when a guy approached her and asked her to marry her, she thought he wanted to hinder her from leaving life to the fullest until she realised he was the governor's son and wanted him for herself. But he was already engaged to Ify. What price is Lanre willing to pay to marry the "Governor's Son"?

The Governor's Son Is Mine

“K what are you saying? You want her to stay?” Ify was mad. Anita waved her phone at her. On seeing that, Ify smiled at K and at Lanre. She told Lanre that K was right and she does not mind her staying with them. She told Lanre that she was free to even stay in K’s room and that K would move out of his room for her.

“No! Lanre bloated out”. She suddenly smirked. It seems she could use this opportunity to rub pepper on Ify’s face as well as punish K.

“He won’t be moving out of this room. If he moves out and I need something at night, who will help me get it? He will stay in his room and I will be staying as well. You petty pleading won’t help matters”. Lanre said to them. Ify almost asked Lanre if she has gone out of her mind but she could not.

“It is settled then”. Anita said hugging Lanre telling her she was happy to have her sister in-law spending the weekend with her. Lanre smirked. She didn’t know Anita’s plan, but she does not mind involving herself in it when she could use it to get back at Ify.

Ify kept scolding herself mentally. She could not believe that she fell for this trap. How could her own cousin be against her. She suddenly felt Anita had actually come here with the purpose of ruining her relationship but she was not going to allow that. No matter what happens, K won’t go to Lanre. If he does, she would release the video of his mother trying to get money from CBN through illegal means.

Ify left the room fuming while Anita followed suit blowing a kiss at Lanre and K. She caught up with Ify.

“I missed being a mischievous little girl. Now that I’m married, I can’t even be one at all. Ify, if you marry K, especially if you marry now, you will miss out on your youth. You will soon do your youth service, right?” Anita asked. Ify asked how it concerned her.

“There are going to be a lot of handsome guys at the NYSC camp. You are going to fall in love with one of them and crush with a hundred of them, cute guys. You will end up cheating on your husband, K. And trust me it will be boring and scary because after you marry, you have to serve in the state where your husband resides. Do you want to take that risk? Leave K for Lanre and stop letting my mother deceive you”. Anita said to Ify. Ify told her that one of them was going to have to die for such a thing to happen.

“I’m always the one giving her things, accommodation, care, respect, friendship and you just name it! Can’t she let me have this one?” Ify asked angrily.

“I thought it was the both of you sharing the rent? Plus, did you really give her respect? Ify, forget about K. Even your father is against this wedding”. Anita said to Ify.
