Shopping With Lanre

At the end, Christian went ahead to order in food for Lanre. She did not get to eat much but Christian was pleased she did eat something. He left after he was sure Lanre had gotten better. But not without telling her to call him if anything should come up.

Lanre walked in to the dressing room of the Governor’s wife while a rack of clothes were being pushed down to Olasile dressing room. After that, Lanre walked out. She met with Olasile and told her she now has a new wardrobe as well as make up product.

“Lanre, you are doing a great job. Toady my daughter in-law to be will be going to shop for some clothes and that Lanre should go with her. Lanre smiled but told Olasile she was only supposed to do these things for her. But then she ended up doing as Olasile asked of her. She ended up going with Ify to shop for some things she would be needing for her wedding. The wedding was in less than two months and they had barely shopped in preparation for the wedding aside for the things they go before the wedding was shifted in the past.

While they shopped for things, Lanre advised Ify to pay an event planner who will take care of almost everything that has to do with the wedding. But Ify told her to stop acting like she was genuinely concerned.

“You are right, I do not care about your wedding preparations. I was only suggesting you reduce the stress on your part so that when the wedding gets cancelled, you would still have energy left to cry”. Lanre said to Ify who eyes her disgustingly. They shopped for materials that will be used by families and friends. Lanre asked Ify if she has friends for whom she was buying asoebi for. Ify did not answer her. This time she was the one who ignored Lanre.

“You know why I left that night? Kehinde was being too clingy. He still does not want to accept the fact that I do not want him anymore. But I do pity you babes, you deserve better”. Lanre said laughing evilly.

By the time they were done shopping, Lanre has made Ify uncomfortable that Ify first hand asked Olasile not to allow Lanre go anywhere with her anymore. Lanre did not mind. Going with Ify to shop for her wedding was annoying to Lanre and annoying Ify was the only way for her to make Ify feel almost the same as she was feeling.

“Why? Miss Lanre is the best person you can go shopping with. I’m even preparing that she will be the one to go to Dubai with you so that she could help you with picking a wedding gown”. Olasile had said to Ify who shook her head. She told Olasile she would rather go to Aba market in Abia State to get her wedding dress than to go with Lanre to Dubai stating that Lanre was too rude to her.
