You Will Be Dead

Lanre was the one to burst out into laughter this time. She laughed so hard that senator Ojo just stared at her with confusion written all over his face. He became uncomfortable. This girl was too bold for his liking. She acted like one who was possessed and was not afraid because she has some certain powers. He doubts Lanre was just a regular human being most times.

“With all due respect Sir, do you think I will let that happen? I’m not a full not to know how the system works. Do you think I will let the police handle this case? Well, I’m not even concerned about Alhaja’s business, I just want a little girl she bought this morning. Call her and tell her to keep the girl for you. That’s all I need you to do Sir”. Lanre said.

“Do you think because you have one stupid video of me you can make me do just anything you want? You will have to start paying for the things you make me do. Be my side chick”. Senator Ojo said. He thought he has had enough of Lanre’s confidence. He was no longer going to tolerate the girl bossing him around.

“Do you think I will hold unto just one video of you in other to blackmail you? That video is not good enough Sir. I must be stupid thinking I could destroy your political career with only that one video. Mr. Ojo, try doing anything, and the whole world will know about all your scandals. And if you dare touch me here, then trust me, you will immediately go live! People will come rushing into this hotel, this room precisely with sticks in their hand. Before the police will get to you, you will be dead”. Lanre said. Her eyes burned with rage piercing into senator Ojo eyes. He cringed. He felt threatened. If Lanre was not bluffing, then it will be too dangerous for him to do anything bad to her. He should not go against her.

He feigned cough and straightened his shoulders. He told Lanre she was too quick to react to things. He asked her of she wanted him to make the call now or later. And if she wanted the girl to be sent directly to her. Lanre asked him what he thinks. He immediately picked up his phone and called Alhaja Fatima.

“Alhaja Alhaja, how are you?” He asked the woman on the other end of the phone when he saw that she has answered the call. She told him she was doing good and that if he was calling to know if she already handed the documents to Lanre then he should not worry because she already did.

“That is good to know. I always know that you are competent and I can trust in you”. Senator Ojo said. Lanre scowled at him. He nods his head at her.

“I was wondering if you can send me one of your girls. I would prefer the latest”. Senator Ojo said.
