Alhaja Fatima when she heard Senator Ojo requesting for one of her girls frowned. She told him there was none available. She already sent all the girls out of the country to Italy. She told him she won’t make good profit if she should run her business here. According to her the men here were too stingy. She didn’t want to send anybody to senator Ojo especially not this young girl. He may not pay her well as she has already placed a high price on the teenager that was brought in this morning. She knew the man would not pay her well since he knew her. He would use the excusing of being one of those helping her business against her.
“Are you lying to me? This is how you talk when you lie. I will pay you one million naira if you send me the girl you bought today. I heard from a source that she’s youthful and beautiful. I want that innocence”. Senator Ojo said to Alhaja. Alhaja wondered who could have told him.
“Is that the money for a night or two?” Alhaja asked the senator. He told her he was buying the girl from her. Alhaja told him she was not going to sell the girl for just one million naira. She said it would be like giving up gold for the price of copper. Senator Ojo decided to ask her how much she was willing to sell him the girl. She told him she would sell the girl to him if he pays her fifteen million naira. She told him if she keeps the girl, she would make more money than the fifteen million naira she was asking for.
Lanre shook her heard. She could hear the woman because it was on loudspeaker. Lanre thought the woman loves money too much. It would definitely get her into trouble. Lanre smiled, she now knows what would bring this woman down. Since she’s majorly after money, she could be bought over.
“This will not do! How can I pay fifteen million naira for a girl I’m yet to see. I need to see her and determine if she’s worth the price”. Senator Ojo bursted out. Lanre glared at him. He immediately changed his tone. He told Alhaja she would be getting her money. He told her to send the girl over to the hotel he was currently at. He gave Alhaja the address. It pained him so much that he was paying for nothing. He felt like cursing the day a girl like Lanre was born. His money was going down the drain.
“I see you are worried about your money even though it is just peanut compared to the stolen money in your possession. You and your cohorts have surely done a number on our country’s economy bringing it down to the lowest level with your persistent stealing. If you put all those energy in working for the country genuinely, then Nigeria will be better”. Lanre said eyeing him disdainfully.
