Lanre and Ify are roommates and students of the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu state. While Lanre is a beautiful light skin girl from the city of Ibadan, Ify whose full name is Ifeoma is dark skinned from the coal city, Enugu and both are undergraduates studying Mass communication and are in their final year. 
Unlike Ify, Lanre is the wild type who has her eyes for extremely flashy things, so when a guy approached her and asked her to marry her, she thought he wanted to hinder her from leaving life to the fullest until she realised he was the governor's son and wanted him for herself. But he was already engaged to Ify. What price is Lanre willing to pay to marry the "Governor's Son"?

The Governor's Son Is Mine

K got to Christian’s house. The person who had come to the door was teenage girl. He wondered if this is the girl Yetunde talked about that is living with Lanre. But then, why does Lanre live with strangers? Or is this kid a relative of hers? What happened to Chidinma if this is the person staying with Lanre? Or maybe Chidinma is inside. This could just be a maid. But who will employ a teenager to work as a maid?

“Is Chris at home?” K had asked the young girl whose eyes seemed glued on his face. This is the same person she had seen on TV a few hours ago. She shook her head. Christian already left the house after making Lanre eat. K asked her if Lanre was in and instead of answering, Eno asked K why he was looking for Lanre and what was his relationship to Lanre. She was more weary since he mentioned Lanre’s name. K thought just like Chidinma did the day he went to look for Lanre, this girl will close the door against him, he pushed her aside and walked in.

“Where is she? Is Chidinma here?” K asked. Eno was confused as she has no clue as to who Chidinma is. She has never seen any Chidinma since she started staying with Lanre. Eno just looked at K not giving away where Lanre is to K. He started walking his way around the house. Eno tried to stop him but she could not do that. She could not stop him. And as if Lanre knew something was wrong, she had stepped out of the room. She ended up standing faced with K.

“Christian is not home. Leave!” These were the words that slipped off Lanre’s mouth. She had not even bother to know what he was doing in the house or why he came. K rushed to her side and held her hand.

“Who said I came here to find Chris? I came for you”? K said to her. Lanre eyes his hand disapprovingly. She told him to let go of her.

“I won’t! This time I won’t let go of you Lanre. I finally ended the engagement between me and Ify, if I let go of you, who else would I take hold of?” K asked. Lanre rolled her eyes at him.

“Are you stupid? Oh wait, are you blind? Has your brain got rotten that the only thing you can do is breath but can’t reason? Can’t you see I and Christian are together? You want me to leave a guy who cares for me for you? Like who even does that shit?” Lanre said trying to free herself from him.

“Shut up! Shut up Lanre! Just f**king shut up!” K said. He seemed to be trying hard to fight his anger. Lanre tried to step away from him but he pulled her even closer to himself.

“In case you have forgotten, let me remind you. I will not let you be with another guy. Even if it means buying you, I will do that ten times over”. K said.
