Do Not Want To Be Fed Lies

Lanre jumped out of the bed upon seeing K. She had not noticed when he came in. But on realising someone was standing behind her, Lanre knew it was K, so she had jumped up out of the bed. She wanted to welcome him with a hug. But he restrained her. She asked him what was wrong. He didn’t say anything. Instead he forced her to sit down then he picked up her phone. He opened it to Lanre’s surprise. He went through her contacts. He got senator Ojo’s contact and deleted it from her phone but not before call blocking the number. He made sure he showed Lanre what he was doing at every step.

Lanre looked at K perplexed. How did he know about the number. She didn’t want to act out of impulse at this moment. There is something going on that she does not know about and she would not want to do anything rashly.

“Don’t you dare unblock that number. And don’t you ever think of leaving me Lanre. I will protect you and protect my family as well. I won’t kill you if you try to hurt my family, but I will surely punish you. Be wise and be a good girl from now on”. K said to her.

“Kehinde, who said I want to hurt your family?” Lanre asked. K told her to drop the act and to be real with him.

“You received a call from that bastard. I should have known he was the one who planted you by my mother’s side. For a moment I thought you got close to her for me”. K said.

“Why? Should everything in this world revolve around you that I would want to please your mother just to get your attention? Kehinde, what you like about me is the hole between my legs and nothing more. If I wanted your attention I would just lift a leg and you are all mine till your energy’s drain out”. Lanre said.

“You still do not get it, do you? I don’t just want you to decorate my bed. I want you by my side for life Lanre. It seems I love you more than you can ever love me”. K said to Lanre. She laughed mockingly at him.

“Then let me go!” She said. He told her he was never going to do that.

“Then listen to me and trust me!” Lanre said.

“What do you want to say to me? I do not want to be fed lies”. K said to Lanre. She told him to sit down beside her. Then she started by telling him a proverb her mom used to tell her when she was a kid.

“You are the world but the world can never be you”. Lanre asked K if he understands the meaning of what she just said to him. He scoffs. He told her that no one person can be the world. And that the second has nullified the first.
