Faith's eyes flared open. It was all bright. She looked at ceiling and remembered that she had moved into her own house. She was happy that she was finally in her own apartment. She felt relieved and better, since coming to LA. Nora was right, LA was the right doze for her heartbreak. She even felt she was getting over Noah.
Nora and Danny had done a great job finding her a good apartment, an apartment that she loved so much. It suited her so much, it was exactly what she wanted. She had finally moved in the previous day, although she had not bought all the household items she needed to live there, but Nora and Danny had given her the bed in their guest room, where she had slept the night she came to LA.
She felt bright and ready that morning. She stretched herself and her hand touched another skin. Her brows creased and she paused. Someone was lying beside her. She turned slowly and saw a strange man lying by her side, looking at her. She screamed, the man screamed and they both jumped down from the bed, dragging the bedsheets. They were both half naked. Faith couldn't even remember when she came back home last night, but she prayed it was her that removed her clothes and had slept in her underwears. Faith succeeded in taking the bedsheets, she wrapped it all over her body. The man took the pillow and covered his bulge from his pant boxers.
"Who are you?!" they asked at the same time.
"What do you mean, who am I?" Ethan asked.
"What are you doing in my house? On my bed?!" Faith asked raking her brain to remember if she had come back with any man last night, but she could hardly remember what had happened last night. The memories of last night were hazy.
Ethan could recall vividly that he had gone out to drink with Axel and Camelia to have some bottle of drinks. He recalled that they had had a bit too much to drink and they were all tipsy by the end of the night. But he was sober enough to know that he didn't come home with any woman. So who was this woman? And what was she doing in his house, claiming it was hers.
"Your house? This is an apartment I paid for and I moved in yesterday."
"Jesus Christ! This is not happening." Faith was frantic. "I would call the police and tell them you are intruding."
"What? Look, lady, I think there is a mix up somewhere."
"There is no mix up! I paid for this house and when I checked it out, it was all empty! Do you hear me?! Empty!"
"I did the same thing and it was empty! I even bought this bed just to keep my head tonight."
Faith's eyes widened like she saw a ghost, her mouth fell agape, she gasped and clasped her hand over her mouth. She was standing here looking at a man who was claiming that the house she paid for was his and not only that but also claiming that the bed Nora and Danny had given her from their guest room was his, a bed she had personally set up herself with the help of Nora and Danny. She ran to the bed stand and grabbed her phone and dialed Nora. It must all be a bad dream.
