Ethan followed Axel to the elevator. The apartment was on the fifth floor. It was exactly what he had wanted, to live in an apartment building where no one would know him and no girl would know who he was. That was not a criteria for finding true love, he knew it, but he just wanted to live life freely without everyone seeing him as a millionaire. Whether anyone liked it or not, it gives him a lot of fake accolades.
The elevator door closed and Ethan looked at Axel. Axel was a tall, tan man. The last time Ethan saw him, he didn't have the biceps that he had now. Axel wore a t-shirt that hugged his chest and exposed his biceps. Ethan looked at himself, he wore a burgundy suit. He was always in suit. He couldn't fit into this role he wanted to play if he keeps wearing suits.
"Are you alright buddy?" Axel asked.
"No...yeah, I'm fine. I think I'll be needing a little help from you."
"What's that?"
"Uhm...I'm a man on a mission, so I need to do everything I can to accomplish this mission."
"What exactly do you want my help on?"
"I want to be a bad boy."
Axel looked sharply at him and tilted his head, his eyebrows raised in question.
"Come on, don't give me that look."
"It's confusing and at the same time funny. What do you mean by bad boy?"
The elevator door open and they came face to face with a couple who smiled at them. They smiled back and stepped out of the elevator, while the couple went in.
"Bad boy, as in movies, the bad boy with untamed hair, girls and..."
"I get it, I get it," Axel said and slot the key in the keyhole. "That's not a difficult thing. You just have to stop wearing suits it's not a bad boy attire."
"I wanna get my clothes from a thrift store anyone around?"
They went into the house and Ethan looked around. "This is exactly what I want. Not too fancy, not too ordinary."
"I'm glad that you like it here. The couple that left here sold the furnitures, you'll have to buy new ones."
Ethan went to the balcony and looked out of the street. The street was busy downstairs. He looked to his left and found a young girl staring at him from the next balcony. She waved and he waved back and went back into the space that served as the living room.
"I like it," he said and started for the bedrooms.
"Are you still interested in the thrift store spree? I have a friend that runs one!" Axel yelled after him.
"Of course and remember to take me to the bar. We have some catching up to do!" Ethan called back.
"Sure, we do!" Axel said and started heading towards the balcony.
Ethan went into the largest bedroom, that served as the master's bedroom, he liked the size and everything in the room was working, he turned on the faucets and water gushed out. There was a mini jacuzzi in the bathroom. Axel just knew what he wanted.
