GOOD MORNING 3

Faith opened her eyes, everything was blurry. Someone was seated arms folded beside her bed and was looking at her. She blinked severally to to clear her eyes. When her eyes finally cleared, she saw Noah looking at her. She frowned and closed her eyes, opening them again, she saw her roommate.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, sitting up in bed.

"Good morning to you too," Ethan said and placed the bowl of oatmeal in front of her. "This would help you get over the hangover."

"Stay out of my business," Faith snarled.

"When you're done with the oatmeal, there's the breakfast on the chest. I figured you would be hungry. Your friend would be here any moment." He stood up and left the room.

Faith rubbed her temple where a headache was throbbing. He had just shown her kindness and the least she could do was say a 'thank you'. She rolled her eyes and looked at the oatmeal in front of her and the food on the chest of drawers.

They were always so sweet when you have nothing to do with them, but once you are involved with them, they break your heart. She took a spoon and ate, it had a bland taste and she dropped the spoon. The door opened and Nora came in. Concern was written all over Nora's face.

"Faith, what's wrong?" She asked, seating on the seat that Ethan stood up from.

"It's nothing serious, I just had a little crisis."

"Your roommate didn't sound like it was nothing serious. Did you drink?"

Faith wanted to lie, but the look on Nora's face challanged her not to. She cast her eyes down and pouted. "I had a little to drink."

"That was not a little Faith."

"Oh, come on Nora, can we talk about something else, you're boring me to tears with this."

"No, we can't. Faith, you need to see a doctor."

"I'm seeing no doctor. I'm fine."

"Of course you are, Faith. I'll talk to Dr Foster."

        "What? No, you won't!"

"Faith, you are playing with your life, what if Ethan wasn't here?"

Faith rolled her eyes. She didn't want any more scolding from Nora. "Alright, thank goodness I'm still alive."

       "It's Noah right?"

"Nora, you don't just move on from someone like that. I will gradually move on from him."

"Well, it doesn't seem like. You owe Ethan one."

"Oh, please, let me eat in peace."

"Don't tell me you didn't thank him."

"Nora, I know these men, they are always very nice and so sweet when you have nothing to do with them, but the moment you start showing appreciation, they would show their real colours. Besides, I asked him to stay out of my business and he has received a lot of thank yous in his life, I don't think mine would make any difference." She put another spoon of oatmeal in her mouth.

Nora kept looking at her for a while, her arms folded across her chest. "You don't even know this guy. You might not know what would happen tomorrow. The thank you you said today, would bring you a whole lot of help tomorrow."

"How is Danny," Faith asked, looking up at her.
