HEART FOR GRABS

As she threw up inside the bathroom, Nora came and stood by the door, arms folded across her chest looking at her. When she was done, she turned on the tap, scooped water with her hand and rinsed her mouth. She also washed her face and turned to see Nora standing there giving her a death look. She didn't know why Nora had that look on her face and she raised an eyebrow.

Nora's eyes trailed down her left hand and she followed Nora's gaze and realized she was still holding the bottle of drink.

"No, no, no..." she started saying.

"Are you drinking again?" Nora asked.

"Of course not," she said and pushed past Nora.

Nora followed her into the room. Feeling beaten up, she kept the bottle on the nightstand and slumped on her bed. "I wasn't drinking Nora, and as a matter of fact, I'm so mad at you.".

"Why are you mad at me?" Nora came and sat at the edge of the bed.

Faith turned and laid on her stomach, her head facing the door while her legs were propped on the bed board. "I have never been embarrassed in my whole life. It's on you because you asked me to go show appreciation. I'm so mad right now!"

"Keep calm. What is going on?"

"I have never seen anyone this arrogant, I can't deal!"

"You have just been swearing since you came, you've not said anything."

"I hate that guy!" Faith clasped her hands together and closed her eyes tightly together to show how much she hated the guy.

          "What guy?"

She opened her eyes and glared at Nora. "Are you seriously asking me that right now?"

       "Oh, your roommate?"

"Room Hate! He is more of a room hate than a roommate!"

Nora started smiling a mischievous smile. She laid down on the bed beside Faith. Faith noticed the smile.

"Why are you smiling right now?"

"I'm smiling because, this is how it starts."

        "This is how what starts?"

"Every open hatred is a hidden love."

"What?!" Faith was aghast. "You too!"

"Yes, me too. I have not seen any wrong he did to you."

"That's because you don't stay here. I don't expect you to understand."

          "There is nothing to..."

The door opened and Ethan came into the room, totally ignoring the ladies as they stopped talking when he entered. Nora's hands and mouth hung as Ethan took whatever he came there for and left the room.

"Can you see what I keep telling you? How can you come into a room you share with someone and not knock?" Faith asked and when she didn't get any response from Nora, she turned towards Nora, to find her still looking towards the door. She spanked Nora so hard on the shoulder. "What are you looking at?!"

"Oh, good Lord!" Nora exclaimed and held her shoulder where Faith had hit her. "Why did you hit me that way?"

       "What were you staring at?"

"The hand work of God gurl! Did you see how those muscles flexed when he was here?"

"I saw nothing. Nora, you've got to be kidding me. Are you actually crushing on this guy?"

        "I'm crushing for you."

Faith jerked back. "What do you mean by that?"

"Since your eyes have refused to see what is good, I'm hoping you see it through my eyes," Nora said widening her eyes and looking at Faith.

Faith stared into her eyes for a moment. "You've totally gone crazy."

"I'm a crazy bitch, even your papa knows that." She became serious. "But girl, you're a perfect match trust me."

"You know, I don't know what's with you and this guy. If you feel he is sexy enough then go for him and stop putting it on me."

"But don't you feel even the slightest attraction to this man?"

Faith appeared thoughtfully then looked at Nora. "NO!"

"Easy, if I wasn't with Danny, I would have been smitten."

"Your heart might be taken, mine is still up for grabs."

"Oh, thank God, you didn't say still with Noah. Let this Adonis grab it then, come on!"
