NEARLY A HEART ATTACK

Faith was exhausted after the long day. Nora had finally dragged her to see her doctor, the Ingrid Foster was a cheerful doctor and she had spoken kindly to Faith. Faith slot in the key card and was surprised to see that the lights were on. She went and peeped inside the bedroom, her annoying roommate was not in the room, she went to the kitchen and saw her bottle of alcohol on the counter and was tempted to go have a drink, but she recalled her discussion with the doctor.

When they were done exchanging pleasantries and after the doctor had ran tests on her and the results came out, Faith had sat down there looking at the female doctor who was staring at the result. Although, Faith was happy that Dr Foster was a female. She was more comfortable with female doctors than male doctors. In fact, she was never comfortable with males in her life, she didn't like the look on the doctor's face.

She had stared at the doctor who had stared at the GI results and had stared at her for a while. She had not looked happy.

"Miss Prescott, your ulcer is bad. In fact, it looks worse." She had looked at the results and looked at her again. "And, you're not smoking?"

"No. I don't smoke," Faith had replied.

"You don't take coffee and you don't take alcohol?"

        "No," Faith had lied.

        "And you're watching your diet?"

Faith recalled that she had eaten a bowl of oatmeal that morning and had had cheese cake last night. "Yes, certainly."

The doctor had exhaled deeply and had placed the result on the table and had removed her spectacle. "Well, Miss Prescott, if you are saying the truth, then I must say, I'm baffled. Do you work?"

       "Yes, I do work."

        "What's your occupation?"

"I'm a councellor as in I talk to people about their relationships..."

"I get it," the doctor had interjected. "I think you're stressed then. That is the only cause of this."

"Is it that bad?" Faith had asked. She had gotten a bit scared because of the way the doctor was saying the whole thing. Had she been killing herself with those alcohol she took every night?

"It's pretty worse and I will advice you to take a break from work at least for now."

Faith's alarm system had gone off. "Bed rest?!"

      "Yes. A complete bedrest."

Faith sighed. How was she going to be on bedrest for God knows how long? She took off her shoes and threw them away in frustration. The doctor had told her to watch her diet but she was hungry and she was craving pizza. Her mind was on the one Nora had brought when she was coming in the morning.

She opened the cabinet to get the pizza. She needed to a fridge to preserve her things. As she took out the noddle and put in the microwave, the kitchen door flung open and Ethan walked in stalk naked. Their eyes jammed and they both screamed, Faith quickly closed her her eyes and bent down, the kitchen table completely hiding her and the spoon she held in her hand fell down, clattering to the ground.

Ethan quickly covered his manhood and hid himself behide his fridge. "What the hell are you doing here?!" he screamed.

"What am I doing in my house?!" Faith yelled back.

"Why didn't you say you were home?!"

"Do I have to make an announcement that I was back home?! Besides, I checked the room you were not there! Are you seriously blaming me? Wait let me go out of the kitchen." She stood up, but her eyes were still closed.

        "No! No! No!" Ethan yelled.

Faith was confused she quickly bent down again, the table covering her from Ethan. "Why are you screaming? One of us have to leave this kitchen."

"I'll leave," Ethan said and stepped out from behind the fridge. "Make sure your eyes are closed."

           "My eyes are close!"

Ethan quickly ran out of the kitchen on tiptoes, the door banged behind him. Faith opened her eyes and realized she was alone in the kitchen, she sat down on the kitchen floor.

"I nearly had a heart attack."
