She grabbed his shirt and their lips jammed. She kissed him. At first, he didn't kiss back, but his senses became misty that common sense fled from him, then he kissed her back, ravaging her lips taking the lead. They kissed each other hungrily and gradually, they started pulling each others clothes, their lips still ravaging each other. She pulled off his vest and cringed when his sexy body touched her bare palms. She held him like she had been yearning to touch him for a long while.
He felt his heart fly and the whole world seemed to be mute. His heart was pounding against his ribcage and he totally lost control. Her lips were sweet and were even sweeter from the taste of wine. He found himself reeling out of control and falling deeper into her lead. But, common sense started to return gradually. He wouldn't want an awkward situation with this woman, he hoped they live together in peace and go their separate ways with no sentiments.
He knew that by the time she becomes sober enough in the morning, if anything happens tonight, she would blame herself and blame him even more for taking advantage of her. Although, his whole senses were awake, he gently pulled away.
"I'm sorry, I can't do this," he said, his voice filled with emotions.
She stared at him and her eyes gleamed with need. "Why?" Her voice was raspy.
"This...is—I'm sorry, we can't do this. I'll be leaving now." He stood up and strode over to the door and out of the room.
She fell back on her bed and let out a deep breath. She stared at the ceiling. He too didn't want her. She turned to lie by her side and let the tears that had well up to fall and she closed her eyes.
When Ethan returned to his room, Jennifer had called thrice and had sent countless messages to him. He scrolled through his notification bar and read all the messages. It had started with 'are you there?' 'it's taking you forever to drink water' 'are you asleep?' I just called why are you not answering?' ' seems you've fallen asleep, good night ' He sighed and tossed his phone on the bed. His heart was still hammering in his ribcage and the incident that just happened kept playing in his head.
He turned in bed and hugged his pillow. He had not intended to kiss her, he could still taste her lips in his mouth, that wine taste. He turned again and laid on his stomach. That was when he realized that he was shirtless, he sat up in bed and looked around, he had forgotten his shirt in her bed and then the picture of her naked body crept into his mind.
He fell back in bed, hitting his head with the heels of his palm, as if by doing that was going to take that image away from his mind. He turned again, picked up his phone again. Maybe he should call Jennifer, talking to her might help him stop having those images in his head. He turned and tossed in bed, then sleep crept in and took him away.
Love you all
