"Hey! Don't be so naughty," the girl said.
Ethan said something in low tunes, she could barely hear him. She sat there staring at her typewriter and the draft she had made. Nothing made sense anymore. The girl giggled again and Ethan even joined her.
Faith couldn't take it anymore, she shifted uncomfortably on the chair and looked at them again, they were kissing now and laughing. She had to talk.
"Uhm... Could you be less noisy please, I'm trying to concentrate here."
They stopped and looked at her, she went back to her work and the girl muttered a 'sorry' and they continued what they were doing. They talked in low tunes for a while, but their voices started rising again until it got to the peak again. They chattered loudly, probably forgetting that she was there. She just stood up and left that living room. She was hungry again and she went to the kitchen.
Turning on the lights, she glanced round the kitchen, tears were tugging at her ears but she blinked them away and went to her fridge to see if there were wines in there but nothing was there. She quickly left the kitchen and went to her room, grabbed a coat and pulled over, wore her bobble hat, left her room and went out of the house.
Ethan's eyes followed her up and down as she walked about. He was a little worried when she went into the kitchen. She would feel he brought Jennifer over to spite her, but that wasn't his intention. Jennifer had always bugged him that she wanted to come over to his place. He wasn't the type that takes a girl home, but since she was making a fuss about it and she appealed to him at least, he just decided to bring her back home.
He didn't know why he was concerned about what Faith thinks. She had wanted them to live like this and he was just doing what she wanted. But why was he having that pity for her? He had been relieved when she came out of the kitchen after a few minutes and had gone to her room. His alarm went off again as she left the house. Where was she going to? He was scared that she was going to get drunk and might fall into harm that night.
He felt bad that they distracted her from her writing. He had been telling Jennifer about going into the room, but she had said that they should stay there since she wasn't the only one living in the room and that they were in the living room before her, if she felt distracted. He knew this was going to happen, that was why he had refused to bring her home all these while. The last thing he wanted was for Faith to loose all her shells because of Jennifer.
He liked Jennifer quite alright, but he didn't know if she was the woman he wanted to spend the whole of his life with. He would just carry on and see how it goes.
