"Can someone call my son!" Dolores yelled. Her daughters Fiona and Flora were sitting beside her, a lanky man with curly hairs and spectacle stood in front of them. Dolores tried Ethan's numbers again. It rang and rang but no answer, it went to voicemail again.
"Stop worrying yourself mom, I'm sure Ethan is safe wherever he is," Flora said.
"Why is he not answering his phone then?"
"You worry too much mom. Ethan left here on his own and he will still come back on his own."
"I'm not sure you understand me." She glanced at the man standing there. "Tyler, you know where he is right?"
"I don't know, I'm serious."
"Why is he not answering his calls, he has changed his number right?"
"I don't know, I have not spoken to him in a while now," Tyler answered in an unsteady voice.
"Why are you his assistant?!"
"Mom, he is Ethan's assistant, not his guardian," Fiona intervened
"Has your brother not called any of you yet?" Dolores asked.
They shrugged and shook their heads.
Dolores faced Tyler again. "It seems your time is up in that company. Ethan is no longer there anymore, so I don't know what you are still doing there." She knew that threatening Tyler was always making Ethan call her. It was only Tyle, Ethan answers his calls immediately.
"Please, ma'am. This time, I'm sincerely not aware of his whereabouts he has refused to tell me, he said you will force it out of my mouth."
"You see mom? Leave the poor guy alone. He shouldn't lose his job over this," Flora said rubbing her protruding stomach. Relaxing back on the seat she said. "I didn't even come here for this. It's weekend mom, I came to eat your tasty meals."
Fiona looked at her and smiled. Although their brother had refused to tell them where exactly he was, he spoke with them most of the time and he said he was fine. They were not even worried about Ethan, they were just worried about their mother. They had paid one of their staff Adah to report to them whenever their mother starts throwing a fuss.
The staff had called them immediately when she had seen Tyler in the house. He was always the scapegoat. Whenever she was frustrated by Ethan, she would carry it out on Tyler, Ethan's assistant. Ethan has personally told them to look out for Tyler.
Dolores stood up and started going up the stairs, a headache has started throbbing in her temples. Adah stood by the corner before the stairs.
"Adah, please get me a glass of water. Bring it to my room."
"Yes, ma'am," Adah said and hurried off to the kitchen.
Dolores climbed the stairs lazily, taking it one step at a time. Her daughters watched her as she went up the stairs. When she was out of sight, they turned to Tyler.
"Has he not told you where he went to yet?"
Tyler shook his head. He was lying. Ethan has told him his whereabouts. He hadn't come out intentionally though, it came out when Ethan was giving him instructions on what to do when he leaves and it came out. Ethan had made him swear and oat to keep it secret or else he would kill him. He was more afraid of Ethan than his whole family.
"I will meet with the police tomorrow!" their mom yelled from upstairs.
