Hope lost, found and lost again II

His mom was not out of place reacting as she did.

"Why?" She asked curiously.

"Why her?" She added.

"I don't know, maybe I now see what you saw." He said with a faint corny smile and he knew she wasn't buying that. She briefly took her gaze to him before returning it to her laptop.

"With that being cleared, who is the blond-haired guy?"

"Huh?" She asked, still concentrating on her work.

"The blond-haired guy, who is he?" He rephrased and not as if it made the question any clearer.

She now totally looked up at him as she seemed to not get his question or who he was talking about.

"Blond-haired man, where?" She asked.

He noticed how she changed the "guy" which was how he originally asked the question to "man."

His mom wasn't the type that used those twenty first century slang, and even though she was an American, she was born and raised in Norway, and only went to college here in the US.

His mom was a proper lady, gentle, smart, and calculative, that was the only reason she was able to manage VENUS Automobile since it was first born.

"The blond guy in the Automobile design class," he explained.

"Oh, yeah, that is Talon Ford," she explained.

"Like Shawn Ford?" He asked just to be sure.

"Yes, he is Shawn Ford's son," she clarified his evident question.

"Mmm ...

Interesting." He said,

Shawn Ford was the brain behind so many softwares and was a genius. They met once a couple of years ago, clever man, he thought.

"I want his son withdrawn from the program," he said casually.

"What?" She asked stunned.

"We can't," she said sounding unimpressed.

"Why not? He questioned as his facial expression changed to a frown."

"He seems to be good with his designs, also, we don't have a reason to."

Dennis stood from the couch, fixing his shirt.

"Alright, do it whenever he gives you a reason to, if you look well, I'm sure it will be soon." He headed to the exit, he knew she had his eyes on him, she must have so many questions, but she was used to these surprises because he was never predictable, he always flipped the script.

Also, I expect to see the girl at the next class," he spoke before proceeding to leave the place.

Joleen was in the hospital, she sat on the mini couch beside her grandma's bed. She had work yesterday and after her last expected duty, she left for the hospital. She had spent the night there. She was just waking up, she stretched and yawned, her hair roughed. She left the couch, changed into more comfy clothing, spoke to her grandma for a while even though she was non-responsive, and then went out for a coffee.

She was now sipping her coffee in a nearby coffee place, her grandma's surgery was in two days and her fear multiplied as time went by.

She sat there briefly before she headed back into the hospital.
