Since she wasn't planning on showing up yesterday, she concluded on responding to the email with her reasons, but she had totally forgotten. She hoped they wouldn't take it as she not being interested or maybe, nonchalant. Because she was still very excited to be there and still very dedicated to the work. She would make sure to send the mail that day and resume, the next.
She dropped her stuffs before she then got set and went to the kitchen. Fransisca welcomed her with a warm embrace, pinching her cheek like a child with a warm welcoming smile on her face before speaking.
"Look at you," Fransisca said as joleen shrugged and felt like a child.
"Though you look pale, but you are such a strong young woman." Fransisca added.
"I'm glad this long awaited procedure has passed by," she continued. "it weighed you down so much, but I have never seen someone carry a burden the way you do "
Joleen was delighted to hear such an uplifting words from Fransisca, she new it came from a beautiful place, but she was honestly tired of carrying burdens. She hoped that her grandma would have a quick recovery, then she could look forward to focusing on her dreams in the near future.
"I guess my body isn't as strong as we all thought," Joleen said.
"I fainted yesterday," she added.a
"You did? " Fransisca asked in surprise and Joleen just nodded to confirm what she had said.
"Our body do of course get weak sometimes, but your mind is the strongest I have seen."
"You know what, I will let you have today off, you should rest, infact, I'm only expecting you to work by sunday.
So, take a break, refresh and come back stronger." Fransisca reached her cheek, holding it lightly and wearing a faint kind smile.
" No, you don't have to," Joleen insisted.
"But, I want to." Fransisca still cupped her cheek, with her warm kind eyes staring deep into hers.
"Who is gonna help you out here?" Joleen questioned in genuine thoughtfulness.
"It's just barely two days of work left for me for this week, I can definitely cope with that."
"Aww, thank you," joleen spoke in genuine appreciation of her kindness.
Her struggles were always made easier by the few people surrounding her and she was grateful for them.
She went ahead, taking her apron off, then making her way out.
She let out a breath of relief, she sure needed this break and she would make sure to use it.
She was almost by the back door which lead to her little chamber before she bumped into Dennis Wayne.
He was in a full gym outfit, he must be coming fro the gym in the house.
She bumped into him and almost tripped, but he caught her.
