Chapter 101

Mira was able to open up to their Mom on her sisters pregnancy, to their greatest surprise, their Mom did not flinch. She didn't even talk to them, all they saw was her smiling face. Mira wondered why she would behave in such a manner, she expected her to either be sober or be saddened with the news. Olivia who was keenly watching their mom had to put one and one together and immediately suspected she must have either known or she had seen signs that were obvious to her. The both ladies could not utter any word after that, rather their mom was the one that did the rest of the talking. She asked that they sit close to her, as she told them how she planned their visit to aunt Mary's house. She made them to know she was their Mom, and as a woman, she was still ahead of them in some ways. She opened up to then how she asked Mary to figure out what the problem was and how she got the feedback from her. 

Olivia could only nod her head, recalling that her instinct was right all the while. She looked at Mira who was showing signs of surprises, then she asked the mom whether she felt disappointed in her. The mom had to remind her the story she told her about her (Mom) encounter and experience with their Dad. Mira demanded that she be made to know what the story was all about, which the mother did not hesitate to do. She retold them the story and told them that she wouldn't know why it would repeat again in Olivias life. Mother and daughters had a long soul to soul talk in that matter, at the end, they resolved to try Mary's plan. Meanwhile Olivia took time to tell her Mom everything she needed to know about Mike. She told her he wasn't aware as they spoke, as he was still in the US trying to sort out himself as regards his health. Their Mom was More pleased that the young man was a responsible one, she felt it was a safe option B as the marriage would not in any way bring unwanted press embarrassment to the family. She promised them she would handle their father to her best of knowledge with the help of Mary their aunt. The two daughters were very happy with the way things turned out and they appreciated their Mom. Mrs Hart did not fail to advise Mira not to allow such to happen to her too. They left their moms apartment back to theirs.

When they returned, Pat was already dressed, she was only waiting for Mira to return so they would go for the meeting with the entire staff of Miras place. Mira was to step down for Pat t be in charge of the business including the shipping supply contracts, their Dad was of the opinion that they should reduce their public appearances, especially relating to business. This was to enable Mira work closely with the sister. It was almost a week to the primary election, an Senator Crusoe's case was so close too. The case was to determine to an extent the way and manner the election would go. It was their wish that the judiciary would do the needful so Senator who has refused to honorably resign, would be shown the exit door. Mira checked the time, 15 minutes was all that they had to get to the office where she believed the staff were already waiting. She hurried picked up her handbag and few other things she felt she would need for the meeting. She was about to leave, when Olivia called her back, she told her to wait so she would call Chase to either follow them or designate some agents to do so. 

Chase was seated with Alicia's discussing how they would follow up on Senators case, when his phone rang. He looked at it and saw it was Olivia. He picked and got all the information she passed, this she also passed to Alicia immediately after the call was dropped. They analyzed the movement, and decided they would handle the security themselves. Chase was mostly concerned, in that there had been an attack on Mira which took the life of her driver, so there was no way he would allow her or Olivia out of his sight. He knew Mr Hart wouldn't love to hear that he designated am agent to watch and secure his daughters when he (Chase) was around and not even busy. 

Moreover, the senators case was all over the town, the new media both print, visual and audio visual were all carrying the news. Chase and his team had wanted to keep Senator so long in the dark until after the primary election, but Mr Hart called and advised they allow him see his lawyer. He told Chase the implication of keeping him the way he (Chase), wanted. He believed that when they finally released him, assuming they followed chase'plan, senators lawyer might sue for kidnapping, which would result to investigations. He also knew what once the fingers point at him, his career would end since the first thing would be for him to resign and allow for thorough investigation. Chase understood him so well, and after a few days, they granted the Senator his wish to see his lawyer. The importance and ye sensitivity of the case and it's timing, were all Chase had to put into consideration when it comes to Security of the twin. Already there was intelligence that some gang were planning an attack of some sort, which made Chase to fortify every where around the house. 

They left with one of the bullet proof Toyota Tundras, while a Hilux security van followed. It didn't take them much time to arrive the office, being that they had access to the speed lane. On arrival, Chase and some of the agents took over the security of the magnificent plaza, he pointed out some areas and designated some agents to mount guard. Mira and Pat went in to meet with the teaming staff who were waiting patiently for the meeting. The meeting did not take long, although the staff never knew that it was an opportunity to introduce to them a new manager. They had no option than to accept and welcome Pat who was given an opportunity to address them. Their only prayer and wish being that Pat would take care of them the way Mira did. 

At 'D Maggie', Mike was introduced to cream de la cream of the town, he hadn't met such a class of people gathered in one place. The mayor of the city, was seated there, he told Mike he love his look handed him his card, when Mike told him he was on a business trip in town, he felt bad, he told him to move over, as he would make sure he was comfortable in the city. Mike understood why the promises, they felt Margaret had finally got herself a man, so they were happy and would do anything to make the marriage work out. Mike also met the sheriff on charge of security in the town, the governor of the state, the Olympic gold medalist, the oil Mongols, Hollywood stars and the music artists just to mention but a few. 

Margaret signalled the DJ who switched the music to African tunes, she asked Mike for a dance. The guests were thrilled at the way they duo danced, it was a lovely sight for them. They clapped and praised them for the different steps and their show of expertise in dancing. Margaret and Mike left the open place and returned to the VIP lounge. By this time, the African delicacy was ready. It was a Moroccan type of couscous, prepared with fish pepper soup and some vegetables and spices. Mike wondered how Margaret whom he suspected must have asked that they prepared the food knew he loved the food not to talk of that country's method. He had been observing carefully Margaret's moves, though he couldn't get exactly where she was headed with the fanciful and extravagant treats, all he knew deep down in his heart was that she wanted some from him. Although he had the choice and the mental strength to resist her, he wouldn't want to be seen as weak. He would rather give her what she wanted and move on without looking back. He believed that with her status and level of exposure it would be easier to do so to her than Cindy. He felt Cindy could cause a lot of problem being that she was adventurous and still in her youthful age. She might mistake their sexual intercourse to love and expect more, thereby being a pain in the neck when he pulled out. 

Once again in the VIP, Margaret was now more comfortable sitting close to him, his head resting in his shoulder, her hand holding his, rubbing and caressing it romantically. The more she did the more aroused Mike felt. While this was going on, the drink was still served and replaced by the waiter promptly. At intervals, Margaret would laugh at jokes Mike uttered and used the opportunity to make him feel her boobs which she purposely brushed on his body. Mike wondered how it would look when he unleashed them from the bra that held them, he wondered also how she would look when she went naked in the room. He could only wait and follow her ways patiently until he was sure of what and where she was headed, so he would mistake her moves and fall into a trap.
