Chapter 144

Just like every other event, the count down to the designated date of the party had started. Everyone that was supposed to be invited had got an invitation card, including the uninvited guests who on their own had got their card. It was three (3) days to the d day, while Margaret and the family members were getting ready for the guests, the guests that stay in the UK were also getting ready to attend. So also were the guests who live outside the UK, those were making arrangements for hotel accommodation and other necessary things heh would need for heir stay.

One other set of the attendees who fall amongst those that invited themselves, were the undercover agents. They also were making serious preparations for the party. In fact, they were more serious than other groups as they had started earlier to make contact with their would be alibi or accomplice in the house. Calls and visitations were made so as to be sure that things went the way it was expected.

Cindy's agent had reached out to Margaret, and informed her that he would be in the city the next day, being that it had been a long time Margaret saw her, she was super excited. She saw it as an avenue to invite him to the party and catch up with the old times. This she did and the young man was happy that his plan worked like magic. Having go that, the next thing was to start packing his stuff to move the next day.

Meanwhile, the other agent that Cindy had paid to follow up had tapped the young man's phone. All his calls were monitored without his knowledge, including the last one which gave the lady he information that he had got access to the party. The next thing she did was to track him, having got some Intel about him. She was reliably informed about his weakness for women, especially the beautiful ones. She knew her onion when it comes to such job, so this was an easy one. All she needed do, was make herself available at a sensitive and attractive place where he wouldn't have any suspicion and it would b difficult to resist her.

Brains undercover agent was also making contact too, being a journalist, hers wasn't a difficult task. The only need for her reaching out was to accommodate Lucymang, who based on the plans was expected to play an assistant role during the event. She would either help in holding h lighting for the camera or the mic. She needed a clearance from the house for such number in her team to avoid being embarrassed thereby making her disappoint Brains. When she go through to the house, via phone call, she was asked to wait and Margaret was called in to answer her. Her request was granted and after thee the call it was registered against her name that she was coming with such a person.

When Brains got feedback from her, he was so much excited. He hurriedly reached Philip and passed the good news to him. The next big thing was how to get Lucymang down to UK. This was left for Philip to handle, he had the contact and issuance of visa especially for UK trips hadn't in anyway been a problem for him and his family. They could with a phone call get one for someone. It was same thing for Olivia and her family too. Philip told them to make preparations and get ready for the trip as he would do he needful and make available the visa in less than 48 hours.

From the look of things, what was supposed to ordinarily be a family party, seemed to be turning into a investigation scene as various Agents were gathering for same purpose though ignorant of themselves and their motive. One over of such was Lucy's contact. The young lady was already a known factor, she ex not make contact before gaining access, but for the role she was going to play, she needed to be double sure of her access to the main hall of the event and if possible, every other room that would assist her in getting whatever information needed. When she got through to the chef, he assured her of her role as part of those who would serve the guests. That made her happy, and relaxed, knowing she would buy deliver as promised.

While everyone of the undercover agents were happy that their plans and disguise strategy was in place, it would be worth of note to say that when such a place is arranged, and roles had been taken, there were other few roles that is usually not forgotten. This role serves as an umbrella to other roles. Margaret had made contact for this role, but she was yet to get feedback on the number of personnel to be sent. She wasn't much bothered because she knew that there was still time. It would only trouble her when it gets to 24 hours before the event. She focused on other necessary things and arrangements.

Her waiting and non disturbance of the office that was in charge of allocating the security personnel, seemed to have worked to Bruno and Chase's advantage. When they had discussed that night, it was exactly what was in their mind to use as access to the party, but they needed to find out to those that were already allocated to do the job. They knew that it would be a difficult thing getting to convince one of the security personnel  to allow Bruno to impersonate him. The only way they felt hey could succeed, was to make a huge sacrifice financially. It wouldn't matter how much they would pay, so long as the job was done.

Luck ran on their side when upon their enquiry, they found out that there hadn't been any personnel for the job. Immediately, Chase used his position to reach out to his office in UK and within few minutes, the job of securing the part was assigned to his office while he was asked to choose officers he needed for the job. This was how Bruno got easy access to the upcoming party as he was meant to lead the team of agents that would serve as security for the event. All Chase needed do was disguise himself and get into the party on that day, as access wouldn't be an issue. With that, he job was already a done deal.

When Olivia heard what Chase had already done, she was happy. She told him that it was the reason for her insistence that he would do the job. She also made him to understand that it wasn't as if the job was meant for him, being that he was a higher officer whose boys should handle it, buy for the family sake, she decided otherwise. Chase saw nothing wrong I his doing it, for him, it was a favour and he needed to do It for her to be happy.

Had Lizzy waited a little more for the party day to come, things wouldn't have gone south. Everyone would've been too occupy to read the news online. It would also have been a good story for her which would have also made her one of the trusted bloggers when it had to do with facts. The moment she got the information that access to the party wouldn't be a problem anymore, she published the introduction part of her story. It didn't take time for it to go viral, as it was and would always be, gossips go faster than other news. It would always be worse when it had to do with known and influencial people and families.

Pat was first to get the story, she was online when the news dropped immediately she saw it, she reached out to Mira and Olivia. Olivia couldn't believe how the story went to the hands of bloggers. She knew the implication of such story if it was allowed to get into the hands of their enemies or opponents. She had to do something and that she should do as quickly as possible. She turned to Mira, but before she could say something, Mira was already on call with someone whom she knew would handle such job. As soon as Olivia heard her (Mira) line of discussion, she knew who she was speaking to and knew that the case was already sorted out, but she wouldn't know how much damage it might have done already. She waited until her sister was done with the call, then she asked her what the MIS agent said.

Within the space of two minutes, the news was flashed online as fake. The MIS agent called the twin sisters back and asked that they checked, when they did, they looked at each other's and smiled. They knew the kind of powerful position their Dad occupied, more so, they understood how to make use of it.
