"What brings you to Yardstin?" Frankie asked Paige as they danced to the music. The dance floor was filled with people already.
"I got a temporary employment." She replied.
He raised his brow throwing a glance at her lovely face. "What's your job description for this employment." Frankie asked returning her smile.
"Let's talk about you." She replied ignoring his question. "Tell me about you. what do you do? It won't be a crime to know you more."
"So smart." Came Frankie's honest reply. "I'd like to say that I'm a business man. I work at Tedson and co." He said taking few steps back to allow Paige gain enough balance as she twirled to the Song.
"The furniture company?" Paige asked remembering the famous Furniture company from the television jingles and social media adverts. "Who doesn't know Tedson." She thought.
"Yes, the furniture company." He replied. Now, your turn." He lowered his head bringing their faces so close to each other as they moved in rhythm to Dolly Parton's song 'From here to the moon and back'.
"I'm a Nurse, you know that already. I'm working for the Kentleys. It's temporary."
"You're babysitting Emily?" He asked.
"Not really. But yes, I'm her carer for now." Came her reply.
"Where are you from?" He asked with a expressionless face.
"Elfer-town." She replied.
"That's very far from here. You are indeed special." Don't get me wrong, but they could have gotten someone from here or Acubana which is a closer town." He told her calmly.
"My luck I guess. Besides, I need the cash " she replied giving him a 'don't you dare say a word' kind of smile.
"Nurse Paige," He called. I think my heart is need of attention. It's been beating so loudly since I saw you." He told you with a boyish smile causing Paige to blush. She turned all pink.
"I'm afraid, I don't have solution to matters related to the heart. You'll need a Specialist." She replied falling into his arms as the song went on. Learning to waltz have been one of the numerous things Paige learnt from her ex roommate back in the university. Paula was the closest female friend she ever had. So accomodating, loving and understanding. She knew a bit of everything and she didn't hesitate in sharing most of these knowledge with Paige.
"I thought you were one." He continued.
"I was referring to a heart specialist. Like a Cardiologist or maybe a psychologist." She shrugged then went ahead to ask. "What exactly could be the cause of the ache?"
"Maybe it's my heart's way of letting me know that it will feel hurt if we don't get to see again." He replied causing Paige to smile so hard. She bent her head trying to hard her cute face that was all pink. Frankie smiled. Raising up her head, her eyes drifted to the Bar and she saw him. Simon was right there with a drink giving her the devil's cold glare. He didn't look away when she turned to his direction. Rather he kept staring with a straight face. She quickly looked away and focused on the man right in front of her. She was really enjoying Frankie's company. Just then, the music came to an end and they left the dancefloor.
