Bitten

It's another chilly morning with Jack up earlier than usual.

He steps out of the bathroom in nothing but a towel around his waist.

Look away Hilda.

Look away before he sees you!

His chest is perfect. Just the moderate amount of abs needed in a man like him.

His eyes catch mine and I slowly turn to the ground with flushed cheeks.

"How was yesterday?"he asks plainly.

"It was fine... At least no one tried to attack me... But where were you?"

"Out with Zane,"he simply replies and walks into his closet.

"Jack."

"Hm?"

"Are there Werewolves living here?"

"None that I would know of."

"Are you scared of them?"

He hesitates to answer. "Why?"

"I just thought it was a normal thing for vampires to fear werewolves since they slaughtered have of your population during the war."

"Well... I can't remember the war being so bad for me."

"Why?"

"I didn't really partake in much combat."

"Why?"

"Enough questions for now please."

Just when it was getting juicy.

"I'm not gonna be around till after midnight,"he says already looking tired as he steps out of his closet.

"Again?"

"Why should it bother you?"

It only bothered me because it was kind of boring being here all alone.

Before I can reply I hear the close.

He didn't even say goodbye.

Anyway, I run towards his bed and dive on it having almost being swallowed by the soft mattress.

Holy shit.

Is this what enjoys every night?

No wonder he falls asleep so fast.

I crawl up to one of the pillow and grab it. Just as I'm about to fall asleep there's a knock on the door.

I remain silent not wanting to attend to any of his vampire friends.

The person knocks again.

I can't tell how many minutes it's been since then.

Suddenly the door knob starts to shake around like the person is trying to force their self in. I can only stare in silence.

Finally the door budges and it swings open to reveal a female vampire I've never seen before.

She seems shocked to see me here. "Who are you?"she asks.

"Katherine,"I simply reply.

"What are you doing here?"

My silence makes her raise a brow. I really don't know how to explain what I'm doing here.

"Where's Jackson?"

"He isn't here."

"I can see that... Where did he go?"

"How am I supposed to know?"

She narrows her eyes at me. "Aren't you a human?"

I shrug. "Maybe."

Suddenly a smile creeps unto her face and she licks her lips. "And you're the only one here."

I don't like where this is heading.

"It's been a while since I tasted fresh blood,"she reminisces. "I know we just met... But may I?"

"Uh... I'm kinda still recovering from being bitten a while ago,"I lie.

"I'll only take a little,"she grins.

"No thanks,"I say in the politest way possible.

She stares at me hungrily but snaps out of her thoughts eventually. "Tell Jackson I came over,"she says and exits the room.

Phew.

I'd rather not have her suck the little I have out of my system.

I stretch my arms out following a yawn.

I think I'll shower before I nap.

I hop off my bed and head into the bathroom. I don't spend up to twenty minutes in here.

Seeing that Jack's hair is quite long I assume there's a brush around here.

Looking for it, I hear the door close.

Jack is back so soon?

I step out of the bathroom but he's nowhere to be found. There's definitely something wrong here.

I walk further into the room looking out for any surprise attacks. But it's too late when I spot something on the ceiling.

It's the girl from earlier and her eyes are glowing red. "Sorry I barged in again,"she chuckles. "But I just couldn't resist."

"Stay away from me,"I assert.

I no my efforts are going to futile against her.

"Stay away? From a pathetic human?"she laughs. "If I don't what exactly can you do to me?"

Can Jack literally just walk through that door?

"I'll... I'll--"

"You'll do nothing because you're powerless against me."

I grab a pillow and throw it at her but she swiftly dodges it and jumps on me.

She pins me down by my wrists. "I said I'll only take a little... But I might just change my mind."

"Please... Don't,"I beg knowing I don't have much left in my body.

"Don't bother,"she giggles with a lick of her lips. "It will only be a second... And it won't hurt if you stay still."

She bends to my neck and I squint already.

I feel her fangs pierce into my skin not hesitating to drink but in a minute she retracts her fangs. "Hm... It tastes acidic... A bit different but I love it."

Of course she loves blood that all other vampires repel.

About to bite into me again she pauses. "One more thing Katherine... Jack won't find out."

~~

It's dark outside once again.

I can't stop running my fingers over the bite. I feel so light-headed and hungry.

The door opens up and Jack steps in. I don't bother saying anything to him.

The chain hanging on his jeans seems to be the only thing making a sound in the room.

"How was your day?"he asks me.

Horrible.

"It was uneventful,"I simply reply.

He heads over the desk in the corner and starts flipping through a file. "Uneventful?"

"Yup,"I sigh.

"So you don't want to tell me about that bite on your neck."

I freeze in my spot.

He hasn't even glanced at me once.

"What bite?"I ask trying to cover it up with the collar of my shirt.

"God... I it when people tell obvious lies,"he sighs and turns to me. "Your blood is all I can smell right now."

"How so?"

He furrows his brows. "Who bit you Katherine?"

"No one."

At this point I have no idea how to lie.

"I'll ask this again... Who bit you?"he questions again, his tone getting a bit more serious.

"I found it there when I woke up this afternoon."

He starts to laugh. "Do I look like I wear diapers?"

"I..."

"Why is your heart beating so fast?"

I almost release a gasp. He can hear my heartbeat!

He slowly approaches me and bends over. "Katherine."

He fists my shirt so aggressively that I feel my bra shift out of place. "I hate liars,"he states beside my ear.

"So I'll give you one more chance to say the truth."

I feel a lump form in my throat.

"And if you don't, you'll absolutely hate what's going to happen next..."

"That's a promise."
