Shock

With shock, he walked up back to the sitting room only to drop the carton in his hand. His surprise and amazement were outstanding, he thought being scared as before is no compare to the moment.

This time, he hoped that his eyes were not playing games with him, his grandfather was gone, and he wasn't in his seat.

He took a race to the dining area to see if someone was there but then neither his grandfather nor his friends nor Miss Mila were in the house.

He looked and searched every corner of the house just to see that it was empty.

"Gramps! Mika!! Joel!!! Joyce!!!," He shouted all their names, he went from neighbor to neighbor but neither were the neighbors nor any of them were there. His heart began to pump faster.

He fell on his knees and wept, he wept as the breeze blew the empty surrounding with a mixture of the breeze whizzing and his tears out loud.

He was devastated by this, it seems his grandfather was right after all. This meant that there was only one way to get to paradise.

Like his grandfather said, there were clues in the Bible for him to achieve this, to make it to Paradise.

He was still on his knees when he felt a hand touch his shoulder, he turned gently to see the person and then he saw a smile from the person.

"Ha... Havana?"

"James." She knelt immediately to hug him.

"Havana? What's going on... Why? What?"

"James! They are all gone. James.." she said as she sobbed, as tears came out.

He straightened his face to see her face and gently wept the tears on her cheeks then he saw that her forehead was swollen.

"Havana? What... What happened to you?"

"I climbed a ladder and my mum was the one who held the ladder and then she disappeared so I hit my head."

"Oh, sorry, it must have hurt."

"Not much, I can endure the pain. So what are we going to do? What are we going to do? I have some clues about how we'll get to paradise. At the beginning of the revelations, some messages were given to seven churches and the first was Ephesus. I think we have to find our way to Ephesus."

"But then there are many churches in Ephesus. How are we going to find the exact church that the message was delivered to?"

"In the Bible, it was written; 'to the church. These are words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands."

"What does that mean?"

"Each church has different symbols of Christ except the front of the cross, there is their symbol. What if we look for the church that has the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands."

"Oh, last year an archaeologist found a church with the same symbol in Asia."

"But how are we going to know the directions to the church." Havana frustratedly asked.

"I'm going to amaze you, the person that found it was my grandfather."

"So it's possible to get to our destination. Good thing."

She said with a smile on her face, when James looked at her smile, he found something different about her smile of hers. Yes, she was beautiful with her smile but then there was something different about this smile.

He stood up to glance at her.

"We have to think of a transport medium we'll use to Asia and possibly if we use a car, we have to think of fuel," Havana said as she stood up.

"Okay, we could use my grandfather's car."

"Oh great but do you have a driving license?"

"Yes, I've gotten to the age that I could drive a car, sixteen. So before that, I've been taking a driving class so for my birthday gift, I was given a driving license."

"Oh, hmmm." She nodded her head.

"Actually for me, I'm the same age, I was learning how to drive a car till this came in."

She paused.

"But then, we still need fuel." She added.

"Maybe we should check a fuel station, at least it would be free since almost everyone had disappeared."

"But still, those who are around would try to vandalize the station."

"Then what are we waiting for James? Let's go now?"

They both ran to the house at the garage side and then he opened the garage automatically.

James checked the car just to be fortuitous since the tank of the car is full. He entered the house to take luggage and bottles of water.

He carried nine empty kegs of 25 liters as Havana gave a confused look. It's seen on her face that she doesn't know the amount of water they need for their destination.

"We'll also need these kegs in case of the fuel in the tank finishes, we can pour the fuel we need in the kegs."

"Hmmm..."

They were about to enter the car when they heard a loud sound and then the sound came straight to them. When James saw this, he called out.

"Havana!!!!!."
