Take the plane

So James turned to look at the glass as he pointed to the reviewed sunset.

"The one that's right in front of you," Even if he turned his direction to the sun a minute ago, he drifted his gaze to the cloud.

"Even though, it doesn't feel that beautiful to me anymore. The sunset I once knew just doesn't exist anymore. From the ground, the beauty that once shone doesn't anymore after what has happened." Macus said with a typical disappointed expression.

James didn't want to spoil his mood so he just went with a sigh as he nodded. "Hmm."

"The time of sunshine once ago is apparently no more, and neither is it beautiful again," Macus commented as James turned his head to look at Macus to wonder what he talked about.

"Sometimes, we find the world vulnerable when the people who are precious to us are taken away from us. When they are lost then everything becomes nothing, my catching sight of nature's beauty has diminished as for now," Macus added once he noticed that James stared at him.

"Is it about your family? Was it because you lost your family?"

Macus gazed at the atmosphere for a while and then he sighed as he spoke; "Hmm, my daughter was just six years old, and my wife..." He briefly said, just as James saw him he could feel his emotions weighing on him regardless of the blank face he put on, he knew his heart was deeply hurt.

"Did they disappear or..."

"They were killed. I was once a soldier in my dimension. I fought a lot of wars, arrested bad guys, and made new enemies because of my place. Ahhh, one day, I was at the campsite for training and then I received a phone call. When I answered the phone call to listen, I heard about the worst experience of my life. My daughter and wife begged for mercy, they were begging to be released, the torture that they were giving them should be stopped but the person on the line didn't even consider it. I wasn't even able to save my family when they needed it but it was possible to save others," he grieved in his moment.

"So what are you going to do?"

"I was able to track down the location of the people who killed my family, and then it was your dimension. I couldn't help but wonder who those people are and how they were able to come here. When I came here I knew I had to be presented as someone of your dimension and have to take revenge for my family. But eventually, this apocalypse started, I knew my goal was not only to stay anymore but there's still a path I could take to finally see my family." He explained.

"I'm sure those who killed my family would probably be punished for their sins," Macus added in a cold tone as he held his hand tight on the control.

"Why?"

"They killed and I'm sure they would be suffering for what they've done."

"Is it that everyone is supposed to suffer when they are people who committed crimes here."

"Maybe those who are innocent have a purpose too. Maybe the innocent have something to overcome first. That's why they get attacked or tackled along the way."

"Like the way I was attacked?" James asked and Macus gave him a nod.

"But, what a minute... How come I was attacked and that big head in the passenger's seat wasn't attacked?" James asked.

Macus was about replying but then the door of the cockpit opened.

"Guys we have a situation!!" The two turned to Clara and then they saw that she was panicked.

"What's going on?" Macus asked as he removed his headset.

"Remember those spirit monsters," Macus nodded. "Well, it seems they got to the sky and so some of them hit the plane. I'm sure you would see it on the surveillance board. It's supposed to ring an alarm," just when she said so, the alarm went on.

"Oh, men!! What the?!! Those spirits can fly now?" James jolted in fear.

"I think I'll go to kill those spirits, James takes control of the plane," he moved as Clara moved along with him.

"Let me go along with you," When Macus heard he was about refusing but then he heaved a deep breath. "Okay, c'mon. Let's go." They both left the cockpit and when Macus looked out the window of the airplane, he saw that the spirits were already destroying the right wing of the plane.

"What are we going to do? It would take a few minutes before they would destroy the wing," Clara asked as she took cautious eyes.

Macus walked towards the bag storage beside each passenger seat as he began to search for something.

Clara was about asking but then he spoke;

"Check the bag storage or each seat, there must be something hidden in the plane at least. Maybe we could use it to kill those spirits."

The two checked from one to another in a snap.

While Macus was checking, he felt something, and when he brought it out, he saw that it was a gun.

When Clara turned to check on Macus', she became overwhelmed, finally, there was going to be some action.

"It seems like there's going to be some action after all, is there any other gun? You should check, Clara," he said as both he and Clara checked once again.

Clara also found another weapon, a pistol filled with electronic cells to shock the person once it hits the person. It was an encrypted device and so Clara could not help but wonder why it was there.

Though there was something that created a problem because even if they shot they wouldn't be able to get a straight hit because they needed to be on balance.

"Hey, Macus, I think there is a slight problem," Clara said, Macus sighed in thought that it was how to handle the gun that was the problem so he gave her instructions.

"Thank you but I know how to use this, there's no difference between it and a normal pistol. The problem is not about the gun but the monsters, how are we going to kill those monsters if we're not on a good pace?"

Marcus could already reason with her as he was able to inquire too, it was not going to be possible like that.

"Are we going to crash now?" Clara asked in terror as she stared at the window where the monsters were coming in fast.
