“Good morning.” She greeted as she peeked on my male’s cheek with so much affection. And I could feel my heart start to bleed as the male destined for me smiled down at the female and kissed her temple with his heart oozing adoration. My wolf was on her hind legs staring at the female through my eyes. She fisted her hair and knotted them in a bun and my eyes fell on the glorifying fresh mark on her neck. I return my eyes to the male standing in front of me. That is when I noticed the angry red mark on his neck. And I could feel my heart shatter into a million pieces.
“You didn’t inform me we were expecting a guest?” I am brought back from my world of thoughts when the female pulled back from my male and stood up with her spine straight. A charming sweet smile was what she offered me.

“You were already asleep when I received the news of our guest’s arrival, my love.” His voice was thick and husky and they fell in my ears like a sweet melody the Goddess had kept me deprived off. His voice was filled to the brim with affection for a female who wasn’t me. My love is what he said. With so much love, adoration and affection that I wished to dig up my own grave and disappear forever. But that is not possible either.
“I understand.” She nodded and turned to me.
“I am Sigrún. Alpha Erdem’s female and Luna. Welcome to our land.”

The moment I found out that there was another life growing inside me, I was scared, I was terrified. But the instant I knew it was his, I was on my way to find him, to reclaim him after all those years of waiting.
But fate had other plans, and I suppose the Goddess loved making my life a living hell. He was supposed to choose me, he was meant to love me, he was born to be mine. He was my other half, my soul mate. But he bore another’s mark…he was mated to another.

“Oh goodness! You are here!” Corvina exclaimed as she greeted me with a huge smile. I stepped inside the packhouse, and Corvina came forward to greet me with a hug. 


“I didn’t have any other choice.” I sighed, “I cannot afford to get on the Beta female’s bad side, now can I!” I joked and Corvina gave me a stern look. 


“You brought flowers!” Corvina exclaimed noticing the basket of flowers I was carrying. I nodded and she excitedly exclaimed, “They will be perfect for some centrepieces.” 


“Or for desserts!” I suggested and her eyes brightened. “Yes!” 


“Let’s go inside, others are waiting.” She said as she ushered me inside towards the kitchen.
