It's been 3 months since the declaration of war from the Ender Dragon.
Every day for the past 3 months was spent in the white plane fighting or doing other experiments with the duo.
I think I went a little crazy with them down there.
Luckily, I finally got a break, when the people from the surface got stuck in their progress and needed help from the duo to move to the next step.
From what little pieces I've managed to learn, the body of the 3-headed Wyvern was not found on the battlefield.
This made people speculate that the dragon took it or even destroyed it so we couldn't study it to find more weaknesses.
It was a big loss for humanity, but we couldn't do anything about it.
There was more grave news besides this one.
About 80% of the soldiers who fought, died in the battle.
While yes, most of them had Totems of Undying, that was only one extra life against the monster that could break obsidian.
Even the generals didn't escape.
Omar, the head captain of the Sandstone Kingdom, died in battle, which devastated the nation, especially Aisha, who was his teacher.
That's why, she was depressed at the last meeting I went to.
A lot of important people died that day, and if it wasn't for the duo, I don't think we could've gathered another army for the final battle.
With Alex and Steve, we could make super bodies that would greatly boost the morale and strength of humanity.
At this point, we don't expect them to fight in the front lines, or even to fight in the Void.
We only need a large number of them to fight a potential horde of monsters that would try to attack the Overworld while I was busy dealing with the Ender Dragon.
Of course, there was the threat of the Ender army, or at least Noah himself attacking. So the heroes were getting special training like me, but with different teacher's, and a lot more resources.
While I was away, it seemed that Violet woke up and teleported out of the cell, to no one's surprise.
After I told everyone who Violet was, they knew not to mess with her.
But the public was still angry at the monsters for taking their loved ones, so they had to keep a facade that she was still under house arrest.
Some guards knew she disappeared and were quite concerned and reported to the higher-ups. But they couldn't do anything even if they wanted to, so they made them keep their mouth shut.
As for her location?
Nobody knew, not even the duo couldn't find her with the System's scanners.
But I had my suspicion, that she was with me, this whole time.
Why did I think that?
The funny thing about the Enderman species is that they adapt very well when it comes to their loved ones.
She was almost invisible last time she met the System. But now after she further evolved, I'm sure she's even more powerful.
Then how was I so sure she was with me in the white planes?
Every time I was in my soul form, I saw a transparent string attached to me, which led to somewhere nearby.
That was my little theory about Violet, and I was about to test it here in the Nether.
As for why I was in the Nether?
It seems that Alexa found some interesting data about the Void and wanted to show it to me, without the duo knowing.
I would usually be suspicious of this, but with my new body, I could get out of any pranks or troubles Alexa wanted to put me through.
"Violet, if you are around here, can you come out and talk?"
After I was sure that nobody was around me, I spoke to the air, expecting an answer.
And I was right to suspect that, as she soon appeared in front of me, fully visible with a worried expression.
As I thought, she got much stronger since the last time I saw her, her energy levels were higher than the average Monster Lord, and it seemed that she could fly now.
"Yes...Hunter?"
Her voice was getting better, not sounding as rustic as before.
And despite her intimidating looks and powers, she was still very scared for some reason.
"Have you been with me this whole time?"
The Enderwoman looked with a quick glance at my eyes, trying to deduce what I was feeling.
"...yes?"
"I'm not angry, I'm quite thankful for what you did in The End. Without you, I think I would've been the end for me."
Once I reassured her that I wasn't angry, she let out a sigh of relief like a weight had been lifted off her chest.
"Why did you think that I would be angry at you?"
"Once I woke up, I was in a prison cell. So I thought you were angry that Father has betrayed you."
That...was a valid reason to be worried.
So I made sure to explain to her why she woke up in that place and how the action of one Enderman would not change my opinion of the whole species.
After all, I had the chance to meet with the rest of the family.
And while they were a little weird, they didn't seem dangerous.
She smiled as I was talking positively about her family, which was reassuring to see but also quite creepy.
"What I wanted to ask you, was how you knew my true name?"
"Father told me as a reword for completing his insane trained routine. That's why I was concerned when you met him, he's not interested in anything besides Mother."
So he tried to warn me beforehand, but couldn't find me on time.
Well, she did, but maybe if it had been earlier, it would've been better.
But there's no use crying over spilled milk. I was alive because of her, and I was very thankful for that.
"What's your opinion about this war?"
While she's not a Monster, she's not a human either, and the only reason she's here is because of me.
Otherwise, I wouldn't be surprised if she had been on the other side.
"I'll go wherever you go."
"Even if that means you'll have to go against your family?"
She lifted her head and looked around the Nather walls.
Then, she spoke with a quiet voice.
"You are my family."
And teleported away, leaving me stunned in silence for a few moments.
"Y-yeah, I think we'll arrive at Alexa's place in a few minutes."
For some reason, my head was hot all the way to the Alexas base, which was even weirder when I knew I had fire immunity.
When I arrived at the base, I saw that it looked quite different from what I remembered.
Instead of a giant Wither, there was a huge dark Comand block in the middle of the red hills.
Did it get inspired by the System and tried to copy it?
I walked closer, and a portion of the wall suddenly disappeared.
Typical Alexa entrance.
Inside, there was a small balcony that stood over a huge hole with red mist, similar to the one on top of the Nether.
I also realized that this place was thick with unknown energy.
Not the same levels as the Dargon or the Main System, but close to the Enderman islands, which were an unexpected surprise.
You're finally here.
Suddenly a huge red figure appeared from the deep ends of the mist.
What do you think of my new home?
What appeared in front of me was a huge red Allay with a Netherite crown, a dark eye similar to the Void and the other one was golden.
I could feel its sight trying to scan me, but even without an armor, I was not something that I could be scanned of.
"You have quite the new look, Alexa. I thought you didn't have the time to do anything extravagant like this. Did something change?"
To create such a body, it would require a lot of energy.
It wasn't to the level of the Angel, but if Alexa wanted, it could fight with the Wither without a problem now.
So it was quite a surprise for me to see someone who was supposed to be constantly busy with keeping the Void sealed, have such a huge upgrade.
Something did change.
Ever since the last attack, the Void didn't try to take over the Nether. So I had time to study it more carefully, which resulted in great progress on my research.
"Did the visit to the white planes also help you with that research?"
I asked with a smirk on my face.
I can't deny that I was inspired by that place as well.
It's also the reason I called you here. What do you think of my essence?
I knew that Alexa had its own energy, but it wasn't too different from the System, that's why I couldn't tell the difference before.
But now, in this space, I didn't feel the energy of the System or the Void. It was its own energy, something that wasn't stagnant or chaotic, but something similar to quicksand.
The more you struggle the more it absorbs you, and the less movement you make, the slower the response is.
"How did you make this? It feels familiar but also different. On its own, I don't think it's that good, but with others, it has some great potential. I didn't even know that it was possible to boost someone's energy."
Your sensors are much sharper with the new body.
And it's indeed an amazing discovery.
Once the Void stopped her attack, I had the chance to study the Bedrock some more, one of the few blocks that cannot be corrupted by the Void.
And on closer inspection, I found out that they were quite good filters, they just didn't release it efficiently.
So I made something similar to them, but without the durability. It had the ability to change the chaos energy into something stable, and when combined with the System's energy, the result is what I have.
That...was amazing to hear.
In short the Nether could be a filter or even a bridge between the 2 worlds!
"Why didn't you tell the duo about this? I'm sure they could've come up with a plan!"
I was programmed to not cooperate with the System unless it's absolutely necessary.
And if the Void would attack through the Nether, who do you think wold have higher priority with me, you or Noah?
I completed forgot that Noah was the creator of Alexa, so he should have a higher authority then me.
The reason Alexa didn't tell Steve and Alex about this, was most likely becouse it didn't want to be reprogrammed, or even worse, taken over by them.
"You're personality changed a lot from the last time I saw you. You seem more...living."
This is a side effect of integrating the new energy as my main source.
I didn't know if I liked it or not, but it already happened, so there was nothing I could do.
"Why did you tell me this? Didn't you think that I'll betray you?"
From my observations, you value your friendship very highly.
And humans don't spend so much time with someone without getting attached a little.
I knew that it was true, but it still felt wierd to hear it like this.
Alexa and I have been through a lot of adventures, so I didn't plan on betray it anytime soon.
"Well, I can't deny that. So what do you want me to do about this information?"
I know I can't make the Nether a bridge between the 2 dimensions, but I can help YOU, to be that bridge.
That statement quickly got my attention.
"How do you plan on doing that?"
Make a body using the System's energy, the Void energy and mine as a conduit.
That would be quite a challenge, but if I managed to complete it, I think I can stand a chance against the Ender Dragon.
I already had the schematics of my body. I can control water and lava at will, and if I want to enter my God mode, I combine those 2 and get an obsidian body.
Strong enough to withstand the Gods power, at a relatively low price.
So my response to Alexa was to turn my body black like Obsdian, feeling the powers of a God run through my veins.
Let's do this then.
