Old Master Ding's question tugged at Liliana's heart. Surely, this matter was not easy to be believed in. After all, the old man had been waiting all his life to be reunited with his long-lost younger sister.
"My grandparents died before my mom graduated from high school. I have never met them. My mom also rarely talked about them."
Liliana placed the letter in front of Old Master Ding. Her calm composure slightly cracked, and her eyes turned teary. It was quite difficult for her to breathe right now.
"I've just come across these letters recently. My mom kept everything hidden from me. These letters were written to you, Grandpa Ding. But, none of them were delivered to you."
"Not sent... to me?"
Old Master Ding's voice cracked. He tried so hard to regain his senses. His eyes fell on the letter lying on the coffee table before they were drawn to the rest of the pile sitting inside the box.
