Her Mother Was Indeed An Iron Lady

As midnight approached, Old Master Ding wanted to go to bed. Talia and Liliana were left in the lounge. They played a card game to help distract the latter from her mother.

Before Old Master Ding was escorted to the bedroom by one male attendant, he didn't forget to give Liliana another reassurance.

"Go to sleep and wake up fresh to meet your mother. Only good news will await you, en?"

Liliana gave Old Master Ding a grateful smile. She put down the cards on the table before rising to her feet. She immediately hugged the old man.

"Grandpa, I can't thank you enough," said Liliana smilingly, "Have a good night."

"Sleep well, Grandpa," Talia waved one hand from where she sat, "I'll be with Lili."

"En, good night, my beloved granddaughters."

Liliana and Talia watched Old Master Ding's disappearing figure. He walked slowly with the assistance of a cane, his back slightly hunching.
