I Don't Need Them To Woo Me

Cassia didn't speak until the end but, only watching her little movements flooded relief and joy in Liliana's heart.

"Mom, I know you're tired," Liliana almost choked on her sob, unable to keep her sorrow at bay, "I'll come back to you soon. Before that, just get your rest, en?"

Liliana wished to keep the video call going until the landing but, she knew that it was impossible. Her mother also needed an appropriate amount of rest.

Once the rehabilitation program started, Cassia would be busier. Certainly, all the examinations also would occupy most of her time.

Cassia blinked her eyes. She could barely move her fingers. Still, Liliana understood what her mother was trying to convey.

Wiping her tear-stricken cheeks, Liliana kept smiling while saying, "Mom, I love you. See you soon."

After watching her mother for a moment longer, Liliana called Albert. Her uncle immediately moved the front camera from Cassia to himself.
