None of Them Were Perfect

Stifling his laughter, Lucas spoke over the phone, "Your mom and cousin are right. You need to rest ah. Don't go running or jumping around with your injured foot."

"Of course~ I won't do that. I still remember our trip ah."

Liliana's response echoed from the end of the line, tickling Lucas' heart further.

Unable to hold himself back, he ended up laughing. His giggles echoed in the peaceful air of his home neighborhood.

"Luckily, your injury is not severe. Follow the doctor's advice. You'll get better soon," Lucas' voice brimmed with affection for Liliana yet, it still had a hint of worry, "How about I send some pastries to you?"

Liliana immediately squealed. The thought of getting Lucas' mouthwatering pastries cheered her mood up.

"Oh! Hehe~ I'm fine as long as you're not troubled by it. Don't you need to meet your mother and brother now?"
