18.3 Sneak Attack

I gestured to my two accomplices, showing them a hand with all five fingers sticking out. With a nod, I then pointed in a few directions toward the tent. It was a piss poor approximation of their locations, but it was better than nothing when trying to assassinate more people than there were assassins.

With a small breath, I readied myself for a proper confrontation as I faced the tent with the Feuermischung poised to strike. We'd only have a few seconds of surprise before the enemy engaged. At best, we'd be able to kill the three highest-ranking officials starting with the Zahler, then the general, then the captain. It was a three to five odds if I was calculating this correctly, and the worst outcome was that we fail to kill even a single one of our choice targets.

No pressure.

Nodding to my ready companions, I raised a hand as if to signal to get ready.
