Synopsis

"You're just a Nenner! A glorified blacksmith! You can't possibly stand up against a Zahler's elemental power!"

"As if that'll stop me! A Zahler might have the elements under their control, but that won't matter if I have a Seigel-riddled weapon for every occasion!"

Wesen... the innate power within that allows a person to manipulate the world around them. While it sounded straightforward enough, Rouge still has a lot to learn if he wanted to harness it for his own benefit. Thankfully, being a standard guy with blacksmithing as a hobby had given him a headstart in the new pseudo-medieval world that he now found himself in. In fact, blacksmithing in general is an integral part of his new life and the Wesen-filled wonders that entailed it.

It was a good thing too, especially since it would be the one ticket he had to get out of the servitude of the Empire that insisted on grinding him under its heel.

With his newfound power of rune-like Seigels at his disposal, Rouge will take the Matheman Empire by storm as he builds his rebellion into a force to be reckoned with. He will ensure that his fellow Nenners will be free from the Empire's oppressive practises, and he sure as hell will do it if it was the last thing he did.

Well, that, and he refused to live in a backwater medieval world for longer than he could manage it. His modern sensibilities demanded proper technology, and he was sure that even his half-complete understanding of modern science will give him the edge he needs to take on a literal continent-spanning Empire.

The storytelling in this story is really clean; that is what surprised me the most. However, I got confused by the terms of the new world, Zahlers, Nenners, and Seigelwork. That is too much info for a world I barely know. Still, it seems like an enjoyable story overall.

I was engrossed in this book from the opening page. I was able to remain interested in the plot because of the compelling characters. The interesting plot had turns and turns that left me guessing right up to the very end. I was able to entirely lose myself in the novel because to the author's imaginative and detailed world-building.

I went in thinking that crafting would be a Big part of the story. Doesnt Seem to be the case though just a gimmick We have seen so many times, that either gets forgotten or not used at all.

A very good novel, especially in the fantasy genre. While the Isekai tag is somewhat played out, this book takes a fresh look at the genre and breathes new life into it. The writing quality is absolutely perfect. No complaints from me. I never noticed any grammatical errors or spelling mistakes and I specifically seek them out. Each sentence flows smoothly and every paragraph feels well crafted. Story development is great. We are not treated to long and often overplayed stories of the MC's previous life (at least from what I have read) that can bog down the story. Character design is unique. The MC adapts well to his new environment, so while the trope is still there, it never feels overplayed or redundant. Most Isekai protagonists tend to annoy me, especially with their personalities. I am happy to report that Rex/Rouge never felt annoying. The world background is wonderful. I love all the European aspects that were taken from our world. I'm so used to seeing Asian influence that I was genuinely surprised to see very little to none of it. Over all, a very good book. I will be adding this to my library and I am excited to see where this goes. Happy writing, author.

The story started out pretty good, and then bad things happens and then while at boot camp nothing happens and suddenly brainwashing and a rebellion out of the blue and the ability to crush trained soldiers..sigh. This could have been great if there was space for growing a proper rebellion but no, it had to happen randomly out of the blue. The second the story no longer made any sense i lost interest in this. I rate the early part of the story as four stars, the boot camp part three stars and the rebellion one star. Not sure if the paid parts will be worth it, but i am not interested in finding out.

A fun twist of a popular genre! Well written and with quick pace this novel easily grabbed my attention making me want to read more. The story is also well written and very easy to follow. The magic system within the story is also a refreshing read when compared to many others. Overall a good story that's worth a read
