67.6 Travel Time

I ignored the numb stab of pain growing inside my chest as I did my best to keep my composure. It wouldn't do me good to let my stupidity get a hold of me now, especially if the man standing in front of us was feeling rather vindictive of my decisions. I didn't really want to warm up to the idea of forgiving Aria, but goddammit did the woman made it hard for me to stay mad at her!

 

"I suppose I'll let it slide, for now, Maira Lite," the Primzahl sighed. "For now, let's move on to other things."

 

I let out a sigh of my own as Grigori visibly relaxed, his menacing gait giving way to his usual casual demeanor. I felt Lise's arm tighten around me as the man switched his stance in a way that showed a lack of care about the current situation. Placing his other hand on the side of his hips, Grigori smiled as he said his piece.
