When I opened the door, I got a breath of evergreen and lavender. Then the door shut behind me, and I felt tingles all over my body as I was pushed up against the wall.

"I forgot something, so I had to turn around and come back," he said softly as he lifted my arms above my head, using one of his large hands to pin the wrists.

"What did you forget?" I managed to choke out as he trailed his free hand down my arm, sending sparks and tingles in its wake.

"This." And he grabbed my face and pushed his lips onto mine.

I blinked, but still couldn't see anything.


Cressa whined out loud. I tried to shake my head to clear it, but realized that it wasn't listening. I blinked my eyes a few more times as I looked down, and was surprised when I saw two giant golden wolf paws where my hands should be.


"We shifted!" Cressa responded, excitedly.


"About time!" Her excitement was rubbing off on me. "How did we finally do it?"


"It must have been Nikko," she thought. "Wait, Nikko!"


She looked up and it was so weird to have her in control and to see things through her eyes, but I tried to focus on what was on hand and saw Nikko. He was standing there, still completely naked, and just staring at us in shock.


Before I could stop her, Cressa tried to run to Nikko. However, the first shift must take some getting used to, because we could barely get to our feet.
