Chapter 89: A Shocking Announcement

Bradley couldn't keep his eyes off Carissa. He'd known she'd get along with his parents, but he hadn't expected his parents to welcome her as openly as they had. They were treating her like she was already part of the family, which only solidified what he already knew - Carissa was the woman he was meant to be with.

"Dance with me?" he asked.

She graced him with a breathtaking smile, her whole face lit up with joy. Standing, she took his hand, and he led her onto the dance floor. He'd taken every opportunity he could to dance with her, but the night was winding down, and soon he wouldn't have another chance. He partly blamed his mother for monopolizing so much of Carissa's attention.

Bradley held her close as they moved to the soft, slow music. "Having fun?" he asked.

"Yes. I really like your family." She sighed. "Your mom invited me to spend Thanksgiving with you." She laughed.
