Chapter 90: Straight out of a Movie

Snapping out of his daze, he chased after Carissa, but she'd already made her way through the foyer and out the front door. Dozens of cars with waiting drivers crowded the circular drive, and he searched the area for her, but he didn't see any signs of her. Where could she have gone? He came to a sudden stop, glancing left and right and left again. No way she could've just disappeared like that.

"The young lady went that way." A nearby driver pointed to the right, in the direction of the closest barn.

"Thank you." Bradley gave a nod of appreciation, then jogged toward the barn.

This particular barn only housed one horse - Beth's personal horse that she'd raised from birth - and cubicles full of riding supplies, each space labeled with the name of a teen who was enrolled in the program.
