"Wouldn't you eat the apple?" He asked me and I chuckled slightly.

"I will, I haven't washed it yet, so what is it that you wanted to tell me?" I asked.

I sensed that he was nervous and didn't know how to begin his explanations either, but I wanted to listen to everything he had to say.

"Well… uhm" he stammered.

"I love you, Sage, I always had," he added.

Saying he had always loved me took me by surprise, since I knew Adriel, all he did was keep a straight face and yell, he never showed signs of attraction, not even a little and it was quite amusing that he went straight to the point.

"I know it's hard for you to believe that but I have, I couldn't control my urge to hold you after so many years and that is why I danced with you on the princess's birthday, I had lost control but had to regain composure and do you know why?"

I shook my head affirmatively because I couldn't wait to hear his reasons.
