Diabetes?

Thankfully, the guards didn't stay for long. They just told everyone that if another death occurs, the punishment will be doubled. By this time, half of the players had already died brutally. A thick stench of blood permeated the place.

While everyone headed to their rooms and wandered about, Yu Weimin glanced across the open ground, staring directly at the building across.

Xie Ai watched as even Qi Jingguo followed his lover's gaze and stood there in contemplation.

He suddenly had a terrible premonition in his heart. His intuition proved right as he heard Yu Weimin speaking. "Let's go and search that place."

Even his lover nodded, agreeing with him at this time.

Xie Ai's head spun. "No, you guys, why do you want to go there?! We just came back!"

Even though he knew it was necessary for their current situation, he still felt reluctant to even step outside the corridor. It would simply be a suicide mission if they ever walked out.

Sure, he had that knife, but for how long could he continue to dodge the attacks? The hem of his shirt was already torn to pieces, looking like a mess.

He stared at the building shrouded in darkness on the other side and gritted his teeth. He finally agreed with that dangerous idea. "Fine. We'll go there, I guess."

He felt like he had turned into a sensible brother who had agreed to his siblings' desires despite how dangerous they were. They first waited for the gust of wind to pass as Yu Weimin said, "Go!"

The three of them walked outside the corridor, directly jumping into the pit.

As they proceeded, several gusts of wind passed through the entire ground, creating havoc. Just like before, Xie Ai's hands moved along with his body, fighting off the gust of wind. Of course, he did indeed manage to evade the attack of the wind, but his shirt was torn to shreds.

By the time they reached the other side, Xie Ai's shirt only remained in shreds on his body, and even his pants looked like they would fall apart.

Suddenly, he felt a pair of eyes bore into his back. He swiftly looked back at the building from where they came as he narrowed his eyes. Even though he couldn't see anything, he still felt like someone was standing there on the terrace. He could almost make out a trace of black standing separately in the dark blue sky.

A shiver ran down his spine as he stared at that figure. For some reason, it seemed as if that thing was staring deep at him.

Suddenly, a pair of clothes were thrown at his face. He grabbed a shirt and pants and then glanced at Yu Weimin, who acted like he didn't just share his shirt with his friend. In the meantime, he scanned the corridor of the building first.

The hut they had all appeared in the moment they entered this instance was right beside this building, looking like a shade to put an animal or something. The building itself was strange. It had similar construction as the one back there, but this one looked older and full of mold and fungus.

There was no one around, even though the guards seemed to come from this place. They should have at least heard the sound of their chatter, but no one talked. This building was shrouded in silence.

Xie Ai walked over and gently pushed open the door, glancing inside with a narrowed gaze. Even though the structure was similar to the prison back there, it didn't look like it was meant for prisoners. Instead, there was a guard's dress on the hanger on the side attached to the wall. The bed looked like it hadn't been used for a long time.

He touched the headboard with his index finger as a layer of dust settled on the tip. He looked around, frowning.

This room hadn't been used for a long time. He walked over and looked carefully at the outfit hanging off the wall.

The lead guard, who had worn his dress, had a stain at the bottom of the dress. He hadn't noticed it because of his impaired vision, but Yu Weimin had reminded him before. So he remembered it well.

Xie Ai's eye problem only remained when it came to distant objects, but he could still see the closer ones clearly. So he squinted his eyes, trying to look at the outfit better. He even went closer as he smelled a thick stench of blood emerging from the thing. Another kind of smell, making it feel like this dress also hadn't been washed for a long time, wafted from the dress.

That's when he noticed. The bloodstain at the bottom.

His eyes widened. He stepped back, directly walking out of the room. His face paled at the moment.

It turned out…. that even those guards weren't humans!

Of course, they weren't. Just yesterday, the lead guard… Didn't he scoff and say humans can't withstand seasons?

Xie Ai's entire body trembled as he leaned against the wall, taking deep breaths. The duo also walked out of their rooms, chatting like nothing had happened.

"So, we can safely assume that the guards died a long time ago." Yu Weimin's face was full of seriousness as he spoke: "This building seems to be the same, but it's different. The structure looks similar to a palace, with the servants' rooms at the bottom.

"We probably entered through the backdoor; otherwise, we would encounter the throne first. Let's go and search for it…." Yu Weimin frowned as he pushed off a certain husky from his body, glaring at the man and saying, "I'm talking serious business, and you're still on it!"

"So? I'm listening!" Qi Jingguo launched his body toward his lover, hugging and sniffing his neck, not looking like a serious marshal who had saved Bellona Galaxy from intruders multiple times at all.

Xie Ai's mouth twitched as he took a deep breath. "Aren't you guys worried about encountering diabetes?"

"...."

The two finally separated, coughing in embarrassment. Yu Weimin was still glaring at his lover, while the other was busy flirting with his glance.

Xie Ai swiftly turned around and walked toward the staircase, which he had seen earlier at the end of the corridor. Out of sight, out of mind. Why be envious of other people? He would also find a partner some day and spread dog food in the future! Let's see who gets diabetes first!
