After the fun was over, he was back to being the lonely revenge striven man, who had lost everything he had ever loved.
While the night was quiet, he could still hear the hungry voices of other ghost's outside the gate of his palace, who were munching on the leftovers of the party.
Heck! He was no good man, so he didn't invite the less privileged into his house. But while he was with his thoughts, he held her picture in his hands.
The most beautiful woman he had ever seen, Polina Singh. He wasn't a traditionalist who would believe in a second life coming, at least he would have been happy that they would meet again once she's reborn.
If there was anything he desperately wanted, that would be for a one last chance to set everything right.
At some point, poor Adrik had come to ask himself of the possibility that things wouldn't have escalated to how it is, and the both of them losing their lives if they had told their family, about their feelings for each other.
Although, it was a fifty percent chance that it wouldn't work out, but the other fifty would have worked in their favor if things had gone amicably.
Alex Singh.
His fist tightened at the thoughts of the man, who had committed more than a felony by what he did.
He failed her as a father, he wasn't human but an animal which deserves to die. But luckily for him, Oregon has him covered, seeing that his power isn't working on him and his bastard son, Adrian.
He couldn't wait for him to be dead, his stay in the underworld would be so uncomfortable for him.
For the fact that he's the reason why he doesn't know where exactly, Polina was in the underworld. He would take his anger out on him, not just him, but his precious granddaughter Narika too.
Since he can't hurt either Alex, nor Adrian. He's sure that he doesn't even know that his legitimate son is still alive, and also has a daughter. A pretty one at that.
Oh! Shut up Adrik, you don't find her pretty.
His mind was a mess, but he was more than happy at this moment. His plan is going in accordance just the way he had expected it.
He wondered how exactly Narika is keeping up with her stay locked behind bars?
Is she scared?
That would be a dumb question to ask, because the little he knew about her made him know that she was one spoiled princess. So, right now, he could bet his ass that she's crying, and wondering where exactly things went wrong.
Should I pay her a visit?
He thought with a creepy smile up his face, call him a douchebag or a psychopath. Her tears made it for him, he loved watching her in pain.
It's only surprising that he hasn't met Lucifer yet, since his stay here, because he's thinking differently about him being that devil.
He's changed, a lot changed him. But it's only for the best, and why is that? Because he lives for the revenge, and chaos that he's conjuring against the Singh's.
Adrik's ears were sensitive, to notice that he was not the only person present in the room right now. But when he saw the visitor being Tagon, he finally relaxed.
"Where have you being?" He asked, turning to face his paddy, who didn't look so good to see him." I didn't recall seeing you at our engagement party," He added, when he remembered that he was absent the whole time.
Our?
He was fanning about his engagement with that innocent girl, as if it was a consensual agreement between the both of them.
"What do you set to gain out of it?" Tagon asked him, coming closer from the dim light for him to finally see the scowl on his face. A bad day?
"Gain out of what?" Adrik asked, not really getting the point of what he's trying to say. He turned towards the table, and took the wine he had been reserving for the both of them.
Tagon rolled his eyes, before coming to halt his movement by taking the drink out of his hand, and settling it back down on the table.
"Adrik, she's innocent in all of this" He emphasized more, and that's when his clumsy wicked friend understood who he was actually talking about.
His bride?
He said nothing but only smirked at his comment, his fingers tapping on the table while he looked as if he was deep in thoughts.
"Remind me why exactly you are so interested in the affairs of my bride,Tagon?" This time, he asked looking up at him, with irritation written all over him.
He doesn't know why exactly other people talking about her, set him off. This is crazy as fuck that he doesn't even like her, and only wanted her for his revenge.
But here was his best friend, talking as if Narika was his long-time crush or something.
"I don't know what exactly it is you are trying to make out of this, I don't feel a thing for her man," Tagon explained, when he read off the behavior of his friend." Heck i don't even know her to say that i have feelings for …"
"Exactly" Adrik cut him off, before he grabbed him by his collar bringing his face down to meet him."Don't involve yourself in what isn't your business!" He warned him, sounding so serious about it.
"Well you are my friend, and you are my business. You are changing bro, and it's scaring me because i haven't seen you in this way man. You locked her up, and we both know how traumatizing it is for …"
Tagon's statement wasn't completed, before a punch sent him flying away from where they were. Adrik didn't give him any chance to take in what exactly is happening, before he appeared in front of him, dragging his ass up to meet his angry face.
"Don't you ever mention her name in front of me..,"
"Adrik.." Tagon called him, he was still in shock that he would raise his hands on him because of a woman.
A human girl!
"She's not yours to care about, Tagon. What i do with her isn't your business. Narika is mine, get that into your head." Adrik said lastly, and pushed him off him while leaving him with his thoughts.
He didn't know exactly why he did what he did, and also for it to be because of her?
Something is wrong, something big is happening to him, and he didn't like that feeling at all.
While Tagon stood where he was, taking in everything that had happened but the only thing he could make out from what had happened, was the fact that Adrik had gone insane…not just insane.
But insanely obsessed about her.
