Marya has been crying nonstop ever since defective Homer took away Narika, but mostly her tears have taken another strategy ever since Zoe explained every single detail, about how she got involved with Morgana in the first place.
Adrik Ivanov.
The name sounded familiar, but Mario couldn't exactly place his hand in on where he had heard that before. All he focused his attention on was getting a good lawyer, and trying to get his wife to stop crying.
"I can't believe she's going through such torment, I'm such a horrible mother. What does he want with her?" She asked him, crying on his shoulder while he patted her back.
That was a very good question she asked, what exactly does the motherfucker want with his daughter?
It was obvious that he's the one who set his daughter up, Zoe knew that too but they all knew that it was really complicated trying to explain to her parents, especially her mother, that a ghost who is obsessed about their daughter killed her sister.
Not only would Narika be called crazy, the entire town would have them blacklisted because that's some crazy ass shit.
It was too hard to believe, but this was his child. His only child that he was about to lose for something neither her, nor Marya or anyone else knows the cause for.
"There's no evidence yet that she did kill her, Marya…"He tried to explain to his crying wife, just to soothe her grieving heart even if it's just for a while.
"You talking about evidence, make it seem as if it's true that she killed her. Narika didn't do anything Mario, you know that too right?" She asked, needing him to affirm her question so that she would know, that she wasn't the only person that believed that their daughter was innocent.
"I know huni. I'm just trying to say that if there's no evidence to back up their accusation, she would be released after forty eight hours," Mario told her.
"That's too much time, she's clearly losing it in there, Mario." She shook her head in denial, as if she didn't believe what he said.
This was a very big problem that he doesn't know what exactly to do, but he's trying all his best to calm her down already before he loses her too. She has a very high blood pressure, and the more she cries and doesn't calm down, doesn't help her situation at all.
"This is all my fault," she started to blame herself." Maybe if i had stayed at home a little bit more, and..,"
"Marya," Mario called, holding her face but it was as if she was in another world altogether.
"She needed someone to talk to, and i wasn't there. I would have helped her before all these…"
"Marya, shut the fuck up and listen to me!"He shouted, and this time it worked by making her jerk where she stood, before looking his way.
"Nothing is going to happen to her, okay, I will get her out. But you need to calm down Marya, I can't lose you too," He complained.
"What if they find evidence? They are just holding her there because that motherfucer wrote her name on the wall," she blurted out, disregarding his earlier warning about her calming down.
"Marya Singh!'!" Mario roared, clutching his temple. He was tired, and stressed up already. Marya is a handful.
He could understand her intense concern about their daughter, not that it bothered him that she's going to be hurt where she was, since she can't bleed.
This has been the unique thing about their child, that made them leave India and come all the way down here to start a whole new life.
The criticism on everyone's face, not that it bothered him, didn't settle quite well with Marya, since everyone had tagged her child a witch.
Maybe it isn't a coincidence that all these were happening, but seriously a ghost?
Not that he wasn't expecting something like this to pop up soon, but he didn't expect a ghost, being the changing point that would bring his child into the spotlight in Suncity.
"Maybe your father can help?" Marya's statement brought him back from the trance he was in, and he forgot all about his child, all his focus was on his wife who was so stupid enough to mention the name, of that murderer in front of him.
"Marya, that's enough." He warned her, while trying to curtail his anger. How could she simply think so low of him, to contact that man who he's better off without?
"He's got connections, Mario, you are his son. He will help once he knows about his granddaugh.."
Her statement was cut short by him, banging his hand hard on the table and that made everything on it jump, including her.
"Seriously, what's wrong with you?!" He blasted at her, his eyes giving out deadly glare at his wife, whose lips were shut tightly.
It was at this point that she knew that she had overstepped her boundaries, what exactly was she thinking?
"You expect me to walk up to the man who clearly wanted to kill me, and ask for help? What do you think would happen once he knows about Narika, huh?" He asked, expecting her to answer his goddamn question, since she's the one that brought up the proposition, but she's suddenly dumb.
"That's not ..what I'm trying to say.." she stuttered," I only wanted to get help for..,"
Marya couldn't get her words together, she could barely look into his eyes, and could see the hate forming in his eyes at the mention of his father.
"Are you ashamed of me?" He asked, out of the blues surprising her.
"What? No!" Is she crazy?
"Do you think that I'm not capable of taking care of my family or what, to go back to my father for help?" He added.
"Nelson, that's enough." She called him by his real name, once she knew that this shit had gotten out of hand.
"If you are that desperate for me, to get back to being the rich daddys boy who can't stand for himself, well heck no! You are going to be disappointed because that's not going to happen…"
"That's enough, Nelson!"she shouted, hitting his chest for him to get back to himself and he did.
His heaving chest showing how high enough his energy was tonight, his eyes went back to normal when he saw her crying.
"You think I'm ashamed of you?" She asked heartbroken. How could he ask her such a question? He knew how well she had been with him through thin and thick, and here he was questioning her loyalty.
"I'm so sorry Huni," He apologized, getting close enough to engulf her in a hug." I was just angry about you bringing up my dad, I wouldn't say that anymore."
"I'm sorry about mentioning your dad, and telling you to ask for his help, I'm not…" she choked on her words.
"Shh, it's okay baby. It's okay..," He patted her head, while she cried on his chest.
"I just want my baby out of there,"she said, sniffing.
"I know, and i would do everything i can to bring our daughter back home okay?"He said, pecking her hair.
"I trust you, Mario."
"Good, let's get you ready for the day, we have got shit to do." He said, carrying her bridal style up her room to get her prepped for the day, while he gets his ass working to get their daughter out of that goddamn place.
One thing was clear to him, he's going to get his child released without his father's help, He has been a father, a really good one. So, he wouldn't stoop low to beg that murderer for help. Not ever!
