A struggle for survival

"Ahh!" Fin screamed as she felt an intense pain in her chest, close to her neck. The sharp pointy edge of the dagger was blocked by a pendant her brother bought for her on her fifteenth birthday. She had never taken it off since then.

The man they bought it from boasted about its specialty and how he risked his life to get it from the outside world, while she bought his gibberish, her brother knew the man just wanted to hike the price.

Her fall had resulted in the pendant coming out of her bosom, close to her neck at the V point. The guard was stunned but, that didn't last long as he went for a second strike. She had been lucky the first time.

This time Fin stretched out her hands, reaching out to anything that could be of help, her hands kept on searching until she grabbed an object, and without much thought, she thrust it towards the guard whose dagger had already nicked blood from her neck.

PISH!
