"Finally, you're up. I was starting to think you would have slept for the whole day. ''Those words were like a hurricane wiping off the last traces of drowsiness from Derek's eyes as Jake appeared before him.

"The base?" Derek questioned while rubbing his eyes. "No, we are in William's house"

Jake's words made Derek look around. "We are underground," he stated. The sealed walls gave him the same impression he had when the old man first led him to the base. The pristine white walls gave him the impression of the huge lab where he got his Geno gauge and sheaths.

"William lives underground," Derek said in mild surprise. He didn't see William as the type to build an underground base.

"No, I do not live underground like you and Jake. This is where I hid the banned tech" William who heard their conversation barged in. Jake and Derek shrugged. They wouldn't want to provoke this talkative before he gives them a lecture about the history of lectures.
