Throwing his dagger into the air and summoning it back to his palms, Derek painfully waited. Each minute was torture as he would try all sorts of things to keep his mind calm, and throwing his mediums came last, though it was helpful.

It also helped him train his skills, so it was a win-win. On the other hand, Jack sat at the dining table with a bowl filled with different fruits before him as he gazed intensely at them. Sometimes picking one and taking a bite as the juicy flavor ran down his throat.

Suddenly, they heard the elevator door open, and an exhausted William walked out. "Did it work? Where's Daniel?"

Questions flew out of Derek's mouth as he jumped out of the couch, rushing towards William. What Derek got was a white streak rushing into his arms, causing him to fall. Gazing at the small creature the length of his forearm couldn't understand how such a huge beast could become so small.
