Derek faced Gavin and chuckled. "There is and you know her" He left the perplexed Gavin and walked towards the door. As he came out, Derek quickly spotted Kira mumbling to herself.

"Where's the motorcycle?" he queried in a soft tone the moment Kira heard his voice. She shot to her feet with wide eyes.

"When did you… nevermind, no you can mind, I never meant it that way… uh, I can lead you the bike… if you want." Her incoherent words made Derek chuckle lightly, though his lips didn't open.

He said while closing the distance. Kira quickly turned, and she made sure she kept a good distance between them as they headed to the garage.

As they walked, Kira kept glancing at Derek to make sure he didn't increase his speed and break the gap she kept. But that sense of safety shattered when they approached the elevator.
