Derek could hardly believe Gavin's words. His ears kept ringing and his heart thumped loudly. "Wait, if Halcyon will be affected then it means Stronghold ten and eight will be open." the alarm in his tone echoed in the spacious room.

"Apparently. But the federation can't take such losses, I assume by next year, the military will flood this place."

"The army. I can't stay close to them," Derek said firmly. It was too dangerous and now that his abilities were getting more complex, should the military, which was technically the federation, find out then he might spend the rest of his life in a lab.

"Me too, I'm an abomination. The federation's soldiers will waste no time in ending my life if they find out. Nothing about Cybers, not even their experiments are left alive. I've seen many friends of mine slaughtered even when they begged for mercy.
