"Who?!" his deep voice echoed while he turned his head. But to his surprise, a 'shh' sound came from the darkness and a familiar figure emerged.

Her pitch-black eyes gleamed with delight, for she thought he would be in his room, but the noise from the kitchen drew her attention.

"Mei'er," Derek muttered with raised brows. He least expected to see her with her Master being so troublesome.

"Hehehe" she giggled while covering her mouth with her hands. "Caught you," Li Mei whispered and sat beside him without breaking eye contact.

Derek stared at her with arched brows, for she took his yogurt and ate it provocatively. "How did you leave without your master knowing? Or is she asleep?" He queried and leaned against the island.

"No, she's training." Li Mei replied and pouted when Derek showed no reaction despite her obvious hints. 'Is he that clueless, or he's acting?'
