Dark Continent

Nyx and Belitha were still on the desolate battlefield that witnessed the clash of a Contender and a Dragon King.

'What will she say?'

He was afraid of what she may think of him after telling her the truth. If only Nyx understood Belitha would never view him as a monster no matter what.

There was no need to ask why, the answer was quite obvious. She'd never see or treat him as a monster because she'd never want to be seen or treated in such a way.

"Honestly..."

She paused. Her reaction was entirely different from what Nyx had expected. Rather than her expressing her disappointment that he hadn't told her sooner she burst into laughter.

The look of perplexity Nyx harbored on his countenance was priceless.

With his head on her laps she laughed. Bending her head, she could clearly look at him.

"You could've told me you know..?"

Her words were true, she would've kept his secret safe no matter what. They were friends after all.
