1. Low Mana Potion x2

2. +3 free stat points

3. +1 Skill point

Looking at the rewards, Ezra went straight for the stat points, it was the best choice. At the moment, no had no skill that would require the use of skill points, as Endurance was something he knew was fairly easy to improve. After completing the daily quests, he had already increased its proficiency by five percent.

For the ten kilometre run, Ezra made sure not to over step his bounds. When he got close to the point where he was attacked the first time, he would turn back and lap.

Also, there was another pressing matter he just discovered. That was, he had no food, and he beginning to feel hungry now. As he was in a cave, there was literally nothing edible growing around, and monster flesh was not something that could be eaten without proper preparation, and even then, only few monsters were edible.

Ezra, after thinking for a solution, quickly checked the system for a system shop or store, but of course, he didn't have access to it.

[Not unlocked. Your level is too low]

'Level?'

Previously, Ezra thought there was no level, as there was none represented in his system, but turned out there was.

"It seems the system is in control of all this. It's actually motivating me to risk my life to survive by fighting monsters." Ezra said to himself with a bit of frown forming on his forehead. Good thing he had already resolved himself to risk it.

[Stat]

Strength: 15

Physique: 12 >> 15

Agility: 10

Sense: 9

Intelligence: 6

.

Remaining Points: 3 >> 0

..

Ezra had come up with a theory on how his stats affected his body and his condition at given times, which was also why he invested the points in constitution and not strength. Also, he came up with the theory that his strength increased his attack, his physique increased his defence, agility increased his speed, sense increased his response time and general senses, and intelligence his mana. There was a possibility that intelligence would also affect his natural intelligence, since mages were supposed to basically scientists of mana, but that was not certain yet.

Now that Ezra's stats were looking more impressive, he decided it was time to show some bravery and go forward.

It didn't take long after that and he ran a monster, just like last time.

[Ordinary Raged Wolf]

The system showed above the beast's head.

The name was still written in red, so Ezra knew he was still not there yet. He needed the colour of that name to change from red to something calmer. Also, he was curious weather he needed enough EXP for his level to start showing. The system did mention level when he tried to access the shop.

Though he had fought and killed one before, Ezra was still not able to make the first move in the end, and could only wait until the beast attacked. Even then, it took some courage and will power for him to react on time and counter it.

With no weapon or anything he could use to add to his attack, Ezra could only use his fists and surroundings.

After some time, he finally managed to kill the beast. With bloodied hands, he continued walking forward unto the next beast. He made sure to protect himself well and avoid the monster's attacks, so he still had a bit of his HP, and he wasn't feeling too tired either. With that, he saved the use of one of his HP potions for a more critical time.

Ezra immediately, without wasting time continued on the oath. It was just a straight path leading the way anyway. He ran into two more Ordinary Raged Wolves, separately, and after he killed the third one, he got a notification that he had levelled up.

During this time, Ezra also drafted a way of fighting these beasts bare handed, as he had no weapon. All he had to do was poke their eyes hard enough that they go permanently blind, then after they become more agitated, he can then attack them or control their attacks and get them where he wants. After that, he can proceed to bang their heads until the job is done.

After leveling up, he got one point added to each of his stats, then he received two free stat points. The two stat points, he invested everything into strength, bringing his total strength stat to 18. Ezra could feel the strength in him rise after that. Sadly, he only did that after killing the fourth Ordinary Raged Wolf, because it attacked him out of nowhere before he could distribute the stat points.

After that was done, Ezra immediately checked the store to see if it was open, but it still wasn't, and it didn't say at what level it would be opened. There was still no indication of what level he was in. But at least he was happy that he could level up, it was a good way to gain free stat points and get stronger.

"That's good, let's progress for now."
