New Skill II

Looking at the effects of the skill, Ezra was very satisfied with it. To say the least, it was a pretty good skill for anyone to have, plus, it had no mana consumption. Also, he noticed that the skill had a proficiency section. From his gaming sense, he could think of the things that would increase this proficiency, that he could do.

'Things like running and doing other physically tasking things should help..' It then hit him. "Daily quests." Ezra couldn't help but think that the system had a hand in this, but there was no proof, so he let it off. There was no reason for him to try and dissect what he did not understand. Previously, he tried to think of a reason why he had gotten this system, but nothing came to mind, so he gave up. Naturally, the reason will expose itself as time went by.

Ezra had already decided to continue walking forward while checking all these, as that was better. He didn't know if there was some kind of time limit or anything, so he tried not to waste time on things. He eventually passed through the section here he woke up initially, and kept moving forward. Unfortunately, his luck wasn't so bright. He ran into a wall. It was a dead end after all. This meant there was truly only one way to go, only one direction to head in.

"If it's so, then I'll probably have to face more monsters like the wolf from before." He said to himself, not wanting to face such a thing a again.

After a brief thought, Ezra relaxed his mind, there was no point in being a chicken now. There was no other choice if he'd leave this place.

"I've already died once. If I end up dying a second time, then there's not much difference." He convinced himself, deep down, cementing his resolve.

'First of all, lets distribute those stat points.' Ezra said in his mind as he opened the stat screen.

There was no level indicated, so he couldn't count on growing stronger by leveling up. The only option at then was to smartly distribute his stat points. There would definitely be more of them in the future since there was no levelling mechanism.

Ezra took a look at his stats, and using his gaming sense, he could tell that intelligence affected mana, agility was for his speed, strength was for that, and sense was probably for sensing. Basic knowledge. There was no better way to explain than that. As for the Physique stat, he wasn't entirely sure, but he knew that it had something to do with his body's constitution. Nevertheless, he could tell that it was as important as the rest.

Ezra went on to add three points to strength, two into agility, and one into sense. He figured that his attack had to be good, hence the addition in strength. Also, there was no need in being strong, if he couldn't hit his foe, so he added two points to agility, also because it hurt to see them below ten. The one point into sense was just for diversity.,

He would have paid attention to intelligence, but he had no skill that required its use, plus he highly doubt that he would become a mage. It was better to focus on the others for the sake of survival.

Adding the stats, Ezra could already feel the change in his body, and could really feel the rush of energy in his body. He had not grown in size, but he could definitely feel his strength go up. He already had a generally toned and strong body from working odd jobs and all that, so it was no big deal. Now though, he felt like he could utilize more of the strength he already had in him.

'If the feeling is like this, I wonder what would happen if it increases by a lot?' He thought to himself. The feeling certainly felt pleasing.

Another reason for not just pouring all his points into one stat was because he knew well already from his gaming experience, that it was a bad idea to invest only into one stat. Especially now that he had no idea what class he would be in future, if he went and invested points in intelligence, and then turned out to be a warrior, it would be stupid.

'hmm…'

"Alright, I should test this out first." Ezra said to himself.

He wasn't going to fight any monster with a body he was not used to. His speed had increased a bit, so he was a bit unfamiliar with it. Though, it was very easy for him to adjust as it wasn't a large step away from what it used to be. Ezra also used the opportunity to complete the daily quests. This was how he knew a new day had arrived, when the daily quest came.

After that, the reward for completing the daily quest arrived, and he already knew what he was going to choose.
