A New Look

At the moment, Ezra was sitting in a small café that actually offered some food. He had new clothes on, and was eating some food with a glass of water before him on the table. Since it was currently night time, he just ate some light food. Of course, he had food in his inventory, but that was food he was tired of eating, and besides, he had already checked, there was no camera around this section of the city.

In this short time, Ezra had found out some things about his situation that shocked him greatly. First off, the years he had spent in the abyss were all a lie. While he had spent so much time there, in reality, he was only dead for about seven days. He found that out in the news when they were talking about a similar incident that happened earlier in the mid hours of the day.

This made Ezra to think if this was the same situation as what he experienced, but once again, there was no way to prove this, so he just left that for the time being.

For the money and clothes, he happened to find some little gang members and after showing them a few things about fighting, they were pleased to hand over their money and even took him to their abode to choose the clothes he would want. They had offered him some prostitutes that were under them, but Ezra kindly refused. The system even chimed in and urged him to accept the offer, but he refused. Good thing there was no mission or quest or something of that kind.

Ezra was shocked when the system gave him 1 stat point for fighting, and another for stealing, and he also received some for doing other things. It was the first he had done these things after the system fully awakened, so he was rewarded. This gave him a glimpse of what he could gain from this. Even then, Ezra refused to be controlled like this. After all, he had his own morals and would not so easily compromise for some stat points.

As for the most important discovery, he found that he no longer looked like himself. He still looked like himself for the most part, but now he was more, handsome than he remembered, and he also seemed to have more charm. His hair had also become blood red in colour, same as his eyes. Both his hair and eyes had a darker shade of the colour, so nothing shouty. With the way his appearance had become, there was no other way left, and Ezra already thought of a solution for it.

'That aside, this situation will be indeed difficult to deal with.. Heh.' Ezra thought to himself. He had no connections that he could use to ease things up, so it was difficult to start moving around and risk getting caught by authorities.

Even though the world had become like this, there were still the scared and patriotic ones that preferred to work in the armed and defense forces, and similarly, there were those that preferred the underground scene. This was precisely why the Hunter Association existed and why hunters were payed handsomely. Besides, there was the fame that most loved.

After finishing the meal, Ezra left the restaurant and began moving in the general direction of his home city. It was a much better idea to walk there than to use public transport, even though he was miles away. Even though he wasn't in such a city, most well and good looking towns also had cameras, so a city like Jaka would be flooded with them at every intersection, and they recorded at good quality too. It wouldn't take too long before he would be recognized.

Of course, this may have just been Ezra thinking things too far, as there would be no one expecting his resurrection from death after three days or three years. But, it never hurts to be cautious.

'Just how long can I move around without any form of identification?'

As for just moving around there normally was no problem, but that would mean that he couldn't raid any more dungeons or participate in anything lucrative at all. 'Also, money isn't the only problem, I need to grow stronger.'

After some probing, Ezra found out some things. First, the fragments shown under his sin meant that the sin was divided into two, clearly. The thing was, those who could become sinners had to pass the first stage of the abyss. Since the other fragment was obviously held by another sinner, there was no way that person would be some weakling. As he had no idea where to find the other person, and had no idea when they could cross paths, it was better to improve himself unless he wanted to get himself killed.

'After all, it's clear that the fragments have to be collected and fused to make a complete version.' Ezra calculated in his mind. There could only be one way, either kill to take the fragment, or the other party hand it over themselves. Now, if it were him, he would never give up something that had brought him such opportunity, not to mention that his eternal future was already ruined, what was the point?

'I'm guessing the other party would be thinking down the same line as I am..'

Ezra continued thinking on the matter of how he could obtain a new identification and who his foe might be in the future when he came by a glass wall of a shop.

He now was at least 6'1, his hair had turned blood red which was too flashy, and his brown eyes had also turned dark red.

'I also have to dye my hair.' Ezra said to himself. Red hair was not something that people had, it wasn't normal. Most people had black or slightly brown hair, just like he used to have. Red hair colour was just screaming for attention like some spoilt brat. He would stick out too much.

It so happened that the shop with the glass covers was next to a saloon, he fixed that problem and dyed his hair black.

'I wonder what colour my pubic hair is now?… hmm..'
