'That is minus what the guild will pay me too. I should send something to Margaret and the kids.' Ezra said in his mind.
After he got home, he went straight to his room, and since he had an electric kettle in there, he didn't even bother using the kitchen. He wasn't really close to the people he was living with, so he always preferred to have as little contact with them as possible. He kept it at a hi, hi basis.
'I should also find a place and move in, living here ain't it.'
'Maybe it's because they're girls, it's so hard to relate with them, but, Cassie is a girl, and she is like them, though. Not to mention that woman of a man, he's too girly, blehh.'
"Nah, I should get a place soon. Good thing I'm free tomorrow." Especially with the guy around, Ezra didn't feel safe at night or when he closed his eyes.
.
The next day, Ezra was free form raiding until the day after, so he decided to go around and look for a nice place where he could stay. After an entire morning of walking around viewing different places, he finally found one place that was decent, and the best part was that it was a single stand alone flat, and he even got to have his own space like a small compound. The price was a bit high for him, but with the amount of money he would soon be making, it was no problem.
'To think I would one day be living in a house worth a million per year… Life is good.' Ezra thought to himself. Though, after the thought of another person that has the fragment of Greed popping up at any time, he immediately scratches the previous thought out.
'Next, I should visit the orphanage. I could send some money through Small Lee, but there's no need if I can do it myself.'
With his usual dressing, some joggers, a hoodie and face mask, and lately even a beanie, Ezra left for the orphanage in a taxi.
The time was around 2pm in the hot afternoon when he arrived at the orphanage. He had planned it just right so that Cassie wouldn't be home as she would have left for her music practice. Though it was the middle of the day, the clouds were looking like it was going to rain. Ezra approached from the front door, and with a couple knocks, the door was opened for him to enter. Margaret was very happy to see him to say the least. Though she didn't cry this time, she did seem very emotional.
Ezra came into the house and had a talk with Margaret about general topics before he delved into what brought him, after all, he was interested in knowing how everyone was doing.
"You won't believe how much I'm making these days! It's a lot!"
"Oh, really? That wonderful."
"Right? I would have sent you some money, but I don't want to leave traces, I have done a new bank account yet. I could only bring you some cash in person." Ezra said.
Margaret raised an eyebrow as she heard this. As far as she was concerned, Ezra didn't seem to be holding any extra bag or anything for that matter. 'Are his clothes that big? I know he doesn't usually like tight clothing, but isn't that too much?' She thought to herself.
"Oh, I know whatcha thinking, behold…" Ezra said, as he stood from the chair he sat on. He spun around once, and when he faced Margaret once again, a literal bag of money was in his hand.
Seeing this, Margaret almost burst out laughing.
"You actually brought a literal bag of money?" She asked, as small laughter escaped her.
-'Well, the system seems to only sell old school stock.'
Soon after, the weather changed drastically, and the rain came with its full force. Shortly after the rain started falling, Ezra stood up and said to Margaret that it was time for him to go. She was a bit dismissive of this idea, thinking of the situation outside, but all she had to do was turn her back on Ezra, and when she turn back, he was gone, like he was never there.
Ten seconds later, someone was knocking hard on the front door, and when Margaret went to open up, it was Cassie.
'So that's why he left so abruptly?'
"Cassie, you left even with the rain falling?" She asked.
"It all started so suddenly, and I was already half way here. I just ran and didn't bother looking for some shelter, I was drenched already." Cassie responded.
"Looks like the kids will be coming home late today!" Cassie said as she rushed to her room, probably, to take a bath.
'Something smells different… Whatever, I'm so cold.'
