The Witch Queen (Part 3)

"Could you come here, darling?" I had asked May, my voice filled with urgency. "Can you help me prep the herbs for the medicine as I pull them from my special storage?"

"Of course, dear," May had replied, always ready to assist me.

As we worked together, Mother Klare's amused voice had filled the room. "Look at you two—you already sound like a married couple."

But there was no time for playful banter. I had urged Mother Klare to rest until the medicine was ready, worried for her well-being.

"You're too cute when you're embarrassed, dear," Mother Klare had teased, her love and protectiveness evident. "Please go rest, Mother Klare," May had added, emphasizing my request.

Finally, with Mother Klare settled, May and I returned to the prep table. I chanted the special storage spell, summoning the herbs, while May skillfully used the wind barrage spell to dice them.

"You did it! Here you are, dear. They're all done," May had exclaimed, her eyes filled with pride.

The moment of triumph fueled my determination. "Wow, that's amazing, darling. Your magic control has vastly improved. Now it's my turn," I had said, my excitement palpable. I explained my plan to use alchemy, combining fire, water, wind, and light, to create the medicine I had been working on.

I chanted the incantation, calling upon the spirits and the magic of alchemy. "Oh, spirits of fire, water, wind, and light combine to form the magic of alchemy and create a potion to heal the sickness ailing my loved one. Alchemy: Medicine Creation!"

As the spell took effect, May expressed her awe and admiration. "It's amazing."

Filled with joy and relief, I couldn't contain my excitement. "I did it! It's done!"

But then May's voice suddenly rang out, a mix of concern and urgency. "Dear!"

Alarmed, Mother Klare rushed back into the room, her worry evident. "What happened?"

Realizing that something was wrong, I quickly handed the potion to Mother Klare. "Here, take this medicine, Mother," I said, hoping it would provide her with the healing she desperately needed.

But Mother Klare's concern extended to me as well. "What about you? Are you okay?" she asked, her eyes filled with motherly love.

"Do as she says, Klare. Emily will be fine," the God of Magic's voice echoed in the room. "Young May, please let Emily take some of your mana again, and make sure to take some of her life force as well."

With their trust and love, May and I once again exchanged life force, rejuvenating both myself and Mother Klare. The relief that washed over me was overwhelming.

"I'm glad you're feeling better, sweetheart, and the medicine worked. I feel as good as new. How did it work instantly? Thank you, thank you," Mother Klare expressed her gratitude, her voice filled with awe.

"Years of research and never wanting to give up," I replied, my voice trembling with emotion. "You were always there for me in my past life, and in this one, I wanted to do everything I could to save you. I love you, Momma."

"I love you too," Mother Klare replied, her voice choked with tears. "Thank you again, my sweet daughter."

"I'm glad you both are feeling better, Dear, Mother Klare," May said, her eyes shining with relief and happiness.

"Thank you so much, my lovely daughter-in-law," Mother Klare replied, her voice filled with warmth.

"Thank you, darling," I said, smiling at May, feeling an overwhelming sense of gratitude and love for her.

But our tender moment was interrupted by the God of Magic, who had been observing silently. "Sorry to break up this family moment, but I don't have much time left in this realm, and I have a couple of things to explain, especially after what just happened."

His words filled the room with an air of seriousness and urgency. He spoke of my destiny as the Witch Queen, urging me to head straight for the Adventurers' Academy of Magic as soon as I came of age to increase my mana pool. The power sealed inside me was immense, and without proper mana capacity, it could unleash darkness and bring about destruction.

The God of Magic also warned of the false queen who would appear in the future, urging me to be cautious and gather allies I could trust unequivocally. There was much more he wanted to explain, but his time was limited.

With a final goodbye, the God of Magic departed, leaving us with a sense of purpose and a daunting future ahead.

"Goodbye for now; thank you for everything," I whispered, my voice filled with gratitude and determination.

Suddenly a light started to fill the air.

"Huh, where? Where am I?" I questioned, my surroundings unfamiliar and my mind clouded with confusion. Slowly, my eyes adjusted to the dim light of the room, and I noticed the concerned faces of May, Sasha, and Mother Klare.

"You've finally woken up, dear," May stated, a mix of relief and happiness evident in her voice.

Finally, it's good to see your beautiful eyes, dearest, Sasha said, her voice filled with emotion as tears glistened in her eyes.

My head throbbed, making it difficult to process everything at once. I tried to recall what had happened, piecing together fragments of memory. I had been knocked out for the past four days, Mother Klare informed me, her voice filled with a mix of worry and exasperation.

"Four days? The final week of magic class is over?" I questioned, my mind struggling to catch up.

"Yes, dear. You've missed the last few days," May confirmed, her voice gentle and understanding.

My heart sank. The final week was crucial, and I had missed it. Doubt crept into my thoughts, and a wave of anxiety washed over me. "Did we pass?" I blurted out, my voice filled with worry and uncertainty.
